I have a question for the shinki among us.

How important to you is your connection to your god?

If you could go without a name, and not worry about your safety or a place to stay, would you prefer to?

I'd rather be free. I don't mind being tied to a god, but if I had it my way, I'd be alone.

but since we can't take out the stupid ayakashi on our own, I guess it's moot.

You can always fight other things on your own.

Those corpses, for instance.

It's only the ayakashi that shinki and gods need one another's help for.

Yeah! That was fun. I loved gettin to do my own thing, without any god around telling me what to do.

But they're not really that common. That's the first time we've had anything like them.

That's true. I'm sure, if you tried, you'd find things to fight, though.

Or you could just live a peaceful life.

It's not a bad reason to work with a god, though, if you like to fight.
