I have a question for the shinki among us.

How important to you is your connection to your god?

If you could go without a name, and not worry about your safety or a place to stay, would you prefer to?

In that case, I don't understand. Why would having a god help you discover more about who you are now than not having a god would?

Motivation, mostly. I mean, shinki don't get prayers, we can use border lines but not finish them off by ourselves, and while we could easily be called by th e heavens...

Maybe it's foolish. But would we be more likely to find ourselves...as in our morality tested by what gods and other shinki do?

It's weak as an argument. But still.

It's as good a reason as any. It's true that working with a god can push us into situations we might not have encountered of our own free will.

Sometimes that's for the better, and sometimes it's not, but either way it's a learning experience.

I want to keep learning, and I want to keep moving forward. Even if I am selfish for this wish, I want to see who I become. I might not get that chance if I'm released, and that might...make life after life a lot more bland.
