I have a question for the shinki among us.

How important to you is your connection to your god?

If you could go without a name, and not worry about your safety or a place to stay, would you prefer to?

That's right.
A lot of my friends worried about me.
Especially after someone was taken away by another god...
Even if I was okay and my friends were helping me I didn't want them to worry about me.
It was kind of scary too.
So even if I wasn't really ready for a new god, I let one of my friends name me. I felt kind of bad at first. But I feel a lot better now!

You say that it was scary. Were you worrying that a god would name you against your will?

Or did it just feel unsafe not to have one?

[It's close -- not exactly the same, but close -- to the way Hakkai had felt, after Elsa left and before he'd asked Gojyo for a new name. He hadn't worried about other gods, or his own safety, but he'd felt strangely bereft with no name. As though he had no place to exist in.]

And I was afraid for my friends too! Because sometimes bad things happen and they'd go to help but I wouldn't be able to do anything...
But! I think even if I didn't have to worry about that... I'd still want to be with a good god.
I want to help a lot of people.
And the best way for someone like me to help is with someone who wantsme too.

May I ask what sort of god you think of as a good one? How did you choose, in the end?

He listened to me. When he tried to name me the first time, I said no and he said that was okay and was still my friend.
Then when I was afraid, he listened to me again and made me feel better.
And he promised if Miss Pippa ever came back, he'd release me so I wouldn't have to be a nora. I really didn't want that.

( Noticeable or not, sometimes it takes Urashima an hour to respond so who is he to judge. Maybe this guy just went to go get a snack! It doesn't have to be a significant pause. )
