[The video feed clicks on to show Goten's face way closer up then it needs to be. He squints a bit at the screen as if trying to figure out if it's working or not. When he does lean back, there's no greenery or buildings behind him, just a vast blue sky dotted with clouds. It's easier to show everything from a bird's eye view, or at least he thinks so. For once the boy isn't grinning from ear to ear. He's much too confused and concerned right now.]

I think it's working....

Um, can temples just disappear? I can't find Archie anywhere either. All that's left are me and my new cloud friend here.

[He angles the video down to show the fluffy bright-yellow cloud he's sitting on. The cloud almost seems to bounce up in greeting. The video moves to look past the cloud and down far below at an nearly untouched beach with a cliff side. For anyone that had ever found or seen it, Dakuwaqa's temple has vanished.]

D-does that happen a lot? Where does everything go? I've looked all over...

[He already knows the god isn't around, that or he magically picked up and cleaned house. The name that was on his right hand is gone too so...His voice strengthens as he takes a deep breath and flips the camera back to his face in a sudden motion, frowning and trying to glare. He really is upset about this. He's hoping maybe the shark god just took his teasing or trick too far this time.]

Arrrrrrrrrrchie! You better answer me! If you're trying to play a trick on me I won't forgive you. You hear me! This isn't funny!

[There's a small moment of silence as he seems to weigh her words. He knows Sharak means well. She's been nothing but nice to him and the fact that it's so cool that she can stand on air is somehow weighed in that.]

...Yeah..

[He sounds almost like he's pouting. She has a point. He doesn't want to be alone outside when its dark, even with the cloud with him. He's hoping that some miracle will happen and Archie's temple will just pop out from the ground or something but the longer he's on the beach talking to everyone, the more unlikely that feels]

Mmm....It's really okay then? If I spend the night when it gets dark?

I said so, didn't I? We have plenty of room.

[Hopefully Watanuki fills him up with food before then, but it'll be fine. They'll figure it out. Sharak hasn't checked this with Kainé yet, and it doesn't occur to her to, but she's sure she won't mind either.]

If Archie does come back, it will likely take at least a few days. He wouldn't want you waiting alone in the dark in the mean time, would he?

Mmn!

[Goten nods his head slowly. She's not wrong. Archie wouldn't want him wondering around the beach alone, much less at dark. The pirate never really gave him a bed time but Goten sort of knew better. Maybe if he had a friend to drag him around it wouldn't be so bad but being alone outside at night sounded unsettling. A few days...hmm...okay!]

Then I wanna stay the night with you. Can my friend come to? It keeps following me everywhere anyway.

[He points down with the video to the strange yellow cloud]

[That sure is a cloud. Well, okay then. She's seen weirder, even if she can't quite think of an example right now.]

Sure. Maybe you two can teach me some tricks later.

[She wants to get better at "flying". Doesn't that sound like a fun distraction?]

Do you want me to come pick you up?

[That gets him to perk up a bit more, he smiles even]

Yeah! It would be a lot of fun. I still donno how you stand on air, its amazing!

[He could make it look like he was standing on air, but he can't acutally do it the way Sharak seems too. Somehow thats more impressive then flying the way he does. Or at least Goten thinks so.]

When it's closer to dark. [He's got his heart set on dinner and looking around a bit more] Or i can come find your place. But I donno where it is.

Can't say I understand it either, so we're even. We'll try to figure it out together, how does that sound?

[She thinks it'd be more convenient to fly like Goten can, but she's okay with this too...]

Call me when you're ready and I'll come pick you up. [Better than having Goten flying around in the dark looking for her. Besides, she can teleport, she should take advantage of it.]

That sounds great! I'm sure we'll figure it out.

[If they work together, it's gotta work out cause Sharak is clearly a smart lady]

Okay! I will, promise! [there's a small thoughtful pause] Thank you!

[And it's a nice, fun, low-pressure task for Goten to distract himself with. Perfect.]

You're welcome. Take care until then.

[And as promised:]

Sharakkkkkk!! You still around?

I'm ready if thats still okay! I made my way back to the beach.

[Good boy! Sharak doesn't take long to answer.]

Wait on the beach, I'll be there soon.

[And she will! She's never been to the area, but it's not hard to teleport somewhere when you have a connection and an image in your mind, at least.]

[Yay!]

okay!

[Sitting on the new cloud-friend, they're floating a high in the sky so to get a birds eye view of the beach. He doesn't know where she's coming from and the beach is pretty big and---There! Spotting her below, Goten perks up and hops off the cloud, dropping down.]

Sharak! Hey Sharak!

[He doesn't even land in the sand. Instead he swoops down and practically flies into her]

[Sharak looks around when she lands on the sand and then up, because that's the logical place to look for Goten. When he swoops down into her she automatically raises her hands to catch him.]

Hey, Goten. [Sharak puts a hand on his head and looks him up and down to make sure he's okay. Hm, all in one piece, not fading out of existence without a name... Good.]

[He laughs when she catches him. He totally wasn't trying to tackle her into the sand, nope. But still, it's clear he's happy to see the god again. Today has been long, he's tired and all his searching has left him with full stomach but empty handed. It's a bit dissappointing and just reaffirming what everyone else has told him. Others have informed him Archie is no longer in the world but it's still hard to accept. He doesn't want to accept it.]

You did get here super fast! I didn't have to wait at all.

[He grins at her. He's completely fine. Other then the name missing from the top of his right hand, nothing seems different.]

[It doesn't hurt to check. There's also his emotional state to consider, but despite everything... Goten seems like a resilient kid. Sharak approves. She'll just hold him with one arm and ruffle his hair with her other hand.]

One of the few benefits to this whole arrangement. Teleportation. [Sure beats traveling by horse drawn carts.] Do you want to go back the same way?

[He grins a bit more at that. Though the spiky stubborn locks of hair fall right back into place. Really his hair could be a creature of it's own. He feels a bit more at ease now though. He had planned to stay the night on the beach but somehow staying with Sharak does sound better. He didn't want to be alone anyway.]

Sure, whatever works better for you. I never really teleported that much before.

[He tilts his head up and waves up to the yellow cloud in the sky, calling up to it. It doesn't have a name but it seems to respond anyway for the most part by drifting down to them. Though his dark eyes do scan the beach over, just one last time. Just in case. He can't feel Archie anyway but still...and unsurprisingly they are the only two people on the beach.]

[Sharak watches Goten looking out at the beach.]

... He knows he can call you, right? If he does reappear here.

[So Goten doesn't have to worry about not being here if he does.]

[He blinks and looks back to Sharak. It takes him a moment to understand what she's saying. At least until he realizes she picked up on what he was looking around quickly for.]

Y-yeah! I mean, I think so....he should, right? He'd probably show up on the network too and I think I'd be able to feel him. Sorta like you and everyone else.

[He can't really explain 'feeling' part of it but Sharak is right. But he couldn't help but take at least one more look. He smiles at her though.]

Exactly. So it's fine for you to go wherever you want.

[So long as he wants to go to her temple, where there is adult supervision and also chickens. Without any further warning, Sharak teleports them to the temple of Aditi, in the center of the main room. The open "ceiling" still shows the evening sky and there are bells and chimes hanging from the pillars surrounding the room. Sharak gently sets Goten down on the floor, strewn with cushions and blankets.]

... What do you mean by "feeling" though, Goten?

[After they teleport and he's placed down, Goten can't help but look around with awe. The place is pretty big and looking above at the cieling is a great view.]

Your place is amazing, Sharak!

[He grins up at her, eager to have a look around. He'll end up probably giving himself a tour of the place soon enough.]

Oh, uh, mmmm I donno really how to explain it! I can just feel when people are around. I can feel you better then I could Archie...its different from person to person. Like... I know when you're nearby and sorta where you are if it's not too far away.

[Sharak's presence is a lot more noticeable and stronger then Archie's was. Same with that powerful jerk that Goten picked a fight with.]

Their auras, you mean... That's rather impressive.

[Something similar exists in her world too, but sensing youkai auras is easier than humans. Finding that skill in a kid is also unusual. Goten just keeps surprising her.]

Anyway, make yourself comfortable. You have a standing invitation to come and go as you please, but if you want to invite any friends over ask me or one of my shinki first. [There is a reason for that peculiar statement other than safety and courtesy- Goten won't be able to invite any friends over.] You can explore as you want as well, except for the room in the back of the temple over there, where the curtains are tied down.

[The West Wing is forbidden!!! Actually, it's just Kainé's room. She's way more dangerous than a Beast.]

Auras?

[That's the first time he's heard of that but Sharak said that's what the feeling is so...]

So it's your aura I can feel?

[That sounds weird but his attention is still all over the place. He's curious about auras but also about his surroundings. Sharak, you shouldn't tell a child where not to go]

How come?
