[The video feed clicks on to show Goten's face way closer up then it needs to be. He squints a bit at the screen as if trying to figure out if it's working or not. When he does lean back, there's no greenery or buildings behind him, just a vast blue sky dotted with clouds. It's easier to show everything from a bird's eye view, or at least he thinks so. For once the boy isn't grinning from ear to ear. He's much too confused and concerned right now.]

I think it's working....

Um, can temples just disappear? I can't find Archie anywhere either. All that's left are me and my new cloud friend here.

[He angles the video down to show the fluffy bright-yellow cloud he's sitting on. The cloud almost seems to bounce up in greeting. The video moves to look past the cloud and down far below at an nearly untouched beach with a cliff side. For anyone that had ever found or seen it, Dakuwaqa's temple has vanished.]

D-does that happen a lot? Where does everything go? I've looked all over...

[He already knows the god isn't around, that or he magically picked up and cleaned house. The name that was on his right hand is gone too so...His voice strengthens as he takes a deep breath and flips the camera back to his face in a sudden motion, frowning and trying to glare. He really is upset about this. He's hoping maybe the shark god just took his teasing or trick too far this time.]

Arrrrrrrrrrchie! You better answer me! If you're trying to play a trick on me I won't forgive you. You hear me! This isn't funny!

I've been looking all over the beach and stuff but if you could keep an eye out for a big tan guy that looks like a pirate, that would help a lot. Thanks mister!

[He smiles though it doesn't quite reach his eyes.]

[The offer of company and food is something Goten can never really turn down. He perks a bit at that.]

I am....kinda hungry.

[More then kinda. The mention makes his stomach growl. Goten is rarely not hungry.]

[Hakkai you are a blessing. Though the explaination just makes Goten that much more confused. He frowns a little, crossing his arms.]

If he's not here then where would he go? Are there other worlds? I can fly so I get to them like that, right?

We don't know where they go, but I don't think that it's that easy to find them.

Was it your god who disappeared, Goten?

[ Oh my. He is hungry. And a growl like that coming from someone so tiny... ]

Okay then! Let me cook you something! [ Any opportunity to cook for someone, he will take! ] What kind of food do you like?

I could make you something filling like curry... oh! Or maybe katsudon!

And I'm sure you wouldn't mind dessert, too. [ Ah, he's about to spoil this kid rotten. ]

[He frowns at that. Oh. The fact that Archie is gone is starting to set in now.]

Yeah....The whole place is gone with him too. Only me and my friend here are left...

I'm afraid that could mean your friend has vanished completely. It happened to my previous god and a few others, as well.

Your cloud friend does seem interesting, though.

Sometimes they come back, but if the temple is gone, I'm afraid the odds aren't very good, Goten.

Where did you meet your cloud friend?

[He's still hopeful but really, its dwindling]

Huh? Oh! It's a cloud! The other day I found it in my room. It's been sticking with me ever since.

[It's the only thing left from the temple. He smiles a little bit though.] You should come see, Goku! Maybe it'll let you ride it too.

I don't think so. It's just a cloud that's really friendly. It showed up one day at the temple but I really don't think it's a shinki.

[He bounces on it, playfully. Fluffy but surprisingly soild.]

I donno what to do. Everyone is saying he's gone.

[He frowns, the cloud bounces up as if trying to cheer up the boy but what is he suppose to do now?]

I heard of stuff like this happening but he's gotta be somewhere, right?

That's what some of the others are saying. I've looked everywhere and the name on my hand is gone too. B-but I heard there's a chance he might come back...somehow?

[Goten is hopeful. Archie wouldn't let him fight or anything but he was still really nice. A good god.]

Oh yeah, it showed up the other day in the cieling fan. I donno it's name but it's friendly. It can go really fast! [Not as fast as Goten can fly but it's still fun. But the cloud has kept his spirits a bit higher. With the temple and Archie gone, its really all he has besides the clothes on his back.]

Oh...... I-If I get the temple back somehow, would that mean Archie's odds would be better?

[How he would even start with that, he has no idea. But it's an idea, right?]

At the temple. I woke up and it was in the ceiling fan. It's been following me around and giving me rides since.

He could. A friend of mine recently came back after vanishing, as well. He doesn't recall being here before, but from what I understand, that's random.

I've never heard of a friendly cloud, and I've been through the skies countless times. How nice! Perhaps you should name it.

I like all food---just not vegetables! [Granted, he'll really eat everything. He's just a child about that.]

Katsudon? What's that? Is it good?

[His attention is competently taken by this. He doesn't know what it even is and it sounds good. Whoever this guy is, he's really nice. If he can fill up his stomach that would give him more energy to look around. A break wouldn't hurt right?]

Ah! I'm happy you have your friend back! Even if he doesn't remember being here you're still friends, right?

[That makes him feel a bit better. Maybe Archie will show up. He can't sense Archie around anyway. Goten knows he's been looking around in vain but....it didn't feel right to just give up. He flops back on the cloud, tired]

I guess so, huh? Mmmmm I donno what to name it though. It's different from other clouds....so I guess if you go through the sky again and see a bright yellow cloud you should make friends with it! Then your cloud and my cloud can be friends too!

[He smiles and giggles a bit at the idea. Cloud buddies]

No -- think of the temple as a sign. A god may go missing, but if they still exist somewhere on the Near or Far Shores, your name and their temple will still be there. If your name and their temple are gone, it means they don't exist anywhere that we can reach.

[He's silent for a moment. Poor boy: he's young to have to deal with what is effectively (and, perhaps, actually) death. Holding out false hope, though, seems crueler to Hakkai than brutal honesty about Archie's likely death.]

I'm afraid you should start thinking about finding another god.

Katsudon has breaded and fried pork... and lots of delicious sauce, and egg... and a bunch of rice! [ He knows kids don't like veggies. Though he knows he could sneak them in flawlessly, he won't... just this once. ] It's really good!

I'll cook a bunch. How about dessert?

[He's silent for a moment as he ponders Hakkai's words, soaking them in as he looks away from the video to the clear beach below him.]

....Oh.

[He repeats it. A little sadder. He still doesn't completely understand, he wants to hold on to his hope or that least think that Archie is at least okay. Maybe Archie went home? He talked about his home a bit to Goten. It sounded nice.]
