Would anyone happen to know if there's a good bar around here?

[Izumo inclines his head before he starts walking, glancing at Enomoto.]
Well then, I'm glad you'll be accompanying me. Wouldn't do to get lost around this part of town, would it?
no subject
[ And he leads them down the street, arms folding behind his back as he looks around. ]
Doesn't look like there are too many people out yet. Makes things easier.
no subject
[He follows him down the street, taking a good look around the surroundings.]
So, have you managed to figure things out with that sword of yours yet?
no subject
[ You're going to get him to go on a tirade. ]
No existing ports as far as I can see so any chance of being able to connect it to any computer isn't looking likely. I'm starting to think it isn't all that mechanical. But I'm kind of wondering if it really needs some kind of passcode or an advanced kind of firewall that doesn't need a physical interface to--
[ A beat. ]
....sorry. I... can't stop that sometimes.
no subject
Don't worry. I didn't think you were into that sort of thing, though.
[Then again, he feels like he should've expected it at the very least.]
You did say before that it could just be magic instead.
no subject
[ ears faintly red at the laugh. Man, does he sound like a major loser sometimes. ]
I couldn't dismiss the "it's tech" possibility though. Not with those sparks when you try to force it open.
[ With that, he offered a tiny grin. ]
So much for that plan.
no subject
Well, if you ever need help, I'll be willing to lend a hand.
[Tilting his head to the side, he hums.]
I don't suppose it'd do if trying to use fire against it would work. Maybe magic can negate magic. [Or not, but Izumo doesn't want to cross out any possibilities.]
no subject
I'd appreciate that. If it's all the same though, I'd rather keep it away from fire. It looks pretty flammable.
[ But turning his attention ahead. ]
By the way, any idea what kind of bar you want to look at? There's a couple of clubs and an English-style pub in the area.
no subject
[He wanted to test out more of his abilities, but given that very few knows about it...Izumo figures it'd be best to keep it under wraps.
At the question, he gives a light shrug.]
Let's take a look at that pub first. I'm not exactly opposed to clubs, but it's a bit rowdy.
no subject
[ He does hum though, partially in thought. But he can think about the sword later. For now, there's that bar. ]
I recall seeing that pub around here... there.
[ He's stopped in front of a building, motioning to a sign that reads The Warrior Celt in English. ]
It's on the third floor.
no subject
[When they stop at the bar, Izumo lifts his gaze in order to look at it better.
The name has an eyebrow raising, but other than that, so far it doesn't seem to be a bad establishment.
So, he smiles and steps forward.]
Shall we then?
no subject
[ He nods, making his way up the stairs. Normally, he isn't really used to the bar and club scene but hey, it's for a friend. So into the pub he goes.
The minute he's in, Eno can't help but compare it to an izakaya. It's roomier, more about wood paneling and individual tables and a bar instead of the countertop and stools he's used to. Instead of salarymen, the place seems to have more foreigners in it. There's nothing on skewers but it's more about draft beers and pub fare. ]
...well this is different.
no subject
But he does take a good look around the room. He hums, it does seem to appear more as a pub than an actual bar that one would usually see in clubs or even just countertops in a restaurant.
Izumo glances at Enomoto.]
Well, let's try it out.
no subject
But Eno's just going to shuffle over to the bar, eyeing the beer list. ]
It doesn't look so bad. Definitely a different sort of crowd.
no subject
Then he looks back at the beer list.]
As I've said, very English. [Izumo peers at the beer list more closely.] They really do specialize in draft beer.
no subject
So that's what's popular in the West.
[ Talk about a fish out of water situation though. He's staring semi-confused at the list, not quite sure what to order. ]
I'm.. actually kind of not used to this sort of thing.
no subject
The West does prefer their draft beers than orient drinks, I suppose.
[But Izumo studies the list a bit longer, finally finding something that interests him.]
Would you like me to order something for you then?
no subject
[ There's a frown though before a sigh, and a small apologetic smile. ]
Yeah. I guess I can have whatever you're having. If you know your way around places like this, I'm sure you know what to get.
no subject
I'm flattered you have such trust in me to order for you. [Even though he can't be sure exactly where this knowledge came from, but:]
Alright. I'll order then.
[He attracts the barkeep's attention, easily ordering something for the two of them.]
no subject
[ There's a well-meaning smile back as he rests his arms on the bartop. ]
I mean... if you're looking to look around bars, you probably know better than I do.
no subject
[He chuckles, grinning.]
What can I say? I take an interest in bars. It's always enjoyable to see what they have to offer and what's so different about each one of them.
[Don't let him start rambling. It'd be terrible.]
no subject
[ There's a small sheepish smile back and a faint flush on his cheeks, like he's just confessed to something embarrassing. ]
So... you're the sociable kind of guy?
no subject
[But the sheepish smile and faint flush has Izumo looking curious.
Until Eno asks him that question, anyway.]
Ahh, I guess you can say that. Not exactly sociable, but I do like talking to people well enough.
no subject
[ He can't help but chuckle when he hears that bit, relaxing somewhat. ]
That's the kind of trait that can earn you a lot of fans if you pull it off right.
no subject
[Not that he'll try and get drunk himself, of course.
He tilts his head a bit, the words being somewhat familiar as it's being said.
A smile.]
Personally, I think my charms can work just as well.
