I figure it'd be interesting, but it's not necessary. We don't need to know who is the most popular, nor do we need to know who is the most attractive, if there were some non-biased way of determining thus.
I may be vain, but I'm not some vapid fool whose only concern is how attractive he is to others to the point of needing reassurance in the form of a contest.

Mh, I suppose. I haven't my penchant for the back stage anymore. But really what I meant was that it's not a priority, so I wouldn't set it up regardless. It'd be easy enough to put together and then participate in, so long as I wasn't a judge, but that seems like too much work for too little gain.

I'd suggest to you how to successfully seduce someone, but I feel like that may be too advanced for someone who describes themselves as 'plain-looking'. You'll need some more confidence for any real seduction, because the key there is to know you're sexy.
