Has anyone ever noticed how many conventionally attractive people there are here? I know it's heaven but there are seriously a lot of attractive people here.

Just a random observation.

Perhaps it's about standards.

Like picking the smoothest fruit at the market. A marker of quality.

What would be on their list, I wonder?

Besides looks... of course.

When there are factors hidden... examine more closely what can still be perceived.

It seems... we have some sense of "self", and the memories of our bodies. There is truth to be found in those places, as well.

The nature of things is to change, and attachment to the past creates suffering. "Who I am" is never the same one day as it was the day before.

In other words...

We are who we are in this moment. We will be who we will be.

Who we were... signifies nothing. It would be foolish to cling to thoughts of such a thing.

[And even he, as distantly as he views his own feelings, is distinctly uncomfortable saying much more on the matter.]

Is there any real benefit to such attachments?

If something is important enough to keep...

It's likely something that can't be lost.

They define the Truth of our past. Even if we could remember them, there is nothing to be done about the past.

The Truth of our present, and of the future that will be our present...

Those are still ours.
