Kija is gone. I can tell that he's not here.

Really, has no one found out the reason behind disappearances like this? If anyone knows what's happened to him or has hurt him in some way, you'd better come forward now before I discover this later. I won't have any mercy towards someone like that.

Who can tell me anything about this? Anyone?

[Zeno read the post to Shin-ah. He might have stumbled over the White Dragon's name-- he's never spoken it out loud before. Makes the finality of it a little too real, considering the first time he spoke the original Hakuryuu's name aloud was the last time they ever laid eyes on each other.]

Blue Dragon was just telling me we ought to ask if you'd sensed it, too.

It would be strange if I couldn't sense it. He was gone instantly, wasn't he? No hesitation or struggle.

I wonder if I'll be next.

[Shin-ah does not like this conversation already. He's already looked for Kija with his eyes, just in case that might reveal something different, but to no avail. It's unnerving that someone could simply vanish into thin air that way. He sends a pointed, insistent frown at the message on-screen, as though telling Jae-ha don't you dare.

He doesn't need to take his eyes off the screen to know exactly where to reach his hand back so as to grab Zeno's sleeve. Maybe that will root his god in place and make it impossible for him to disappear the same way.]

If Zeno is interpreting correctly... you don't have Blue Dragon's permission for that, though Zeno doubts the gods that bring us here listen much to what we have to say about it.

But you're right, Zeno. They don't listen to anything at all. I don't believe I've told you, but this is how Yona, our previous god, disappeared as well. If you happen to recognize that name, don't tell me. I worry that it might be too much to know.

The point is that these disappearances are constant. A friend of mine dealt with it, as well.

[There was Shin-ah's confirmation that it could indeed happen to gods, not just to shinki. His frown deepens and his grip on the fabric of Zeno's sleeve tightens. This is a very displeased shinki.

He does pay attention to Zeno's expression, though, searching for recognition of that name: Yona. Shin-ah doesn't want to know if he knows that person, too. He just wants to see if Zeno does.]

[Zeno smiles at the reminder that his true calling is to serve the Red Dragon God, the cutest, most dangerous princess who ever walked the earth-- but Zeno smiles at everything.

Immediately, he throws his weight toward Shin-ah, the arm with the phone going around his neck, and he brings it back around so he can still see it while he punches text in with his thumb. Is he hugging Shin-ah to comfort him or to disguise his reaction to Yona's name? Maybe both.]

Shin-ah doesn't try to move out of this strange hold. He has grown rather accustomed to Zeno's spontaneous displays of play and affection. It's nice, really. He feels welcome here.

Zeno doesn't like this object.

[Look, he's just going to disentangle himself now and go back to typing with two thumbs. But he stays next to Shin-ah.]

BLUE DRAGON'S ADVICE: We have to live and move forward. If Zeno may venture an opinion, it's what White Dragon would do in the reverse situation.

[It is still the hardest thing in the world, mind.]

If it doesn't hurt, though, you're not doing it right.

What on earth are you two doing over there?

[They need supervision!! But ah, the message finally comes through, and Jae-Ha reads it and lets it sit for a moment before replying.]

I intend to keep living, for as much as this can be considered life. I'm not the type who doesn't move forward.

Nothing like you're thinking about. Zeno is a happily married man. You need to consider this life just as would a true one, because it's the only life you have-- just as a true one would normally be. Since the best way to move forward is to actually move, though, we should all do some moving soon! Move some ayakashi out of the way, move some prayers forward!

[Spot the distraction. Normally, Zeno prefers to keep his private life private, but... they know nothing about him, nothing about his life, and they don't really have any context to wonder with. Really, any attempt by him to try and act like one of them is a non-starter, because he's a god and they aren't. Already, that wall is between them.

Besides, it's fun to surprise them.]

See that form slowly lean towards one side until it resembles a certain tower in Pisa. One can almost see the question marks popping up over his head.]
