Kija is gone. I can tell that he's not here.

Really, has no one found out the reason behind disappearances like this? If anyone knows what's happened to him or has hurt him in some way, you'd better come forward now before I discover this later. I won't have any mercy towards someone like that.

Who can tell me anything about this? Anyone?

[Because as much as this hurts Zeno, he's been preparing for it since the day Yona was born.]

[Something inside of Jae-Ha has always warned him about getting close to people. There's something extra fleeting about life, somehow, and he may have an idea from his one memory, but thinking on it too hard would likely be a mistake.

[This question is as confusing from Jae-Ha as it is from Zeno. It's a very simple matter to Shin-ah. He voices to the room.]

Zeno doesn't like this object.

[Look, he's just going to disentangle himself now and go back to typing with two thumbs. But he stays next to Shin-ah.]

BLUE DRAGON'S ADVICE: We have to live and move forward. If Zeno may venture an opinion, it's what White Dragon would do in the reverse situation.

If it doesn't hurt, though, you're not doing it right.

What on earth are you two doing over there?

[They need supervision!! But ah, the message finally comes through, and Jae-Ha reads it and lets it sit for a moment before replying.]

I intend to keep living, for as much as this can be considered life. I'm not the type who doesn't move forward.

Nothing like you're thinking about. Zeno is a happily married man. You need to consider this life just as would a true one, because it's the only life you have-- just as a true one would normally be. Since the best way to move forward is to actually move, though, we should all do some moving soon! Move some ayakashi out of the way, move some prayers forward!

[Spot the distraction. Normally, Zeno prefers to keep his private life private, but... they know nothing about him, nothing about his life, and they don't really have any context to wonder with. Really, any attempt by him to try and act like one of them is a non-starter, because he's a god and they aren't. Already, that wall is between them.

Besides, it's fun to surprise them.]

See Shin-ah slowly turn his head and look at Zeno.

See that form slowly lean towards one side until it resembles a certain tower in Pisa. One can almost see the question marks popping up over his head.]

What does that have to do with his question...?

[Yeah that distraction? Didn't work.]

[Zeno is horrible at this.]

Wait a minute, married? Aren't you a teenager?

Hm? Lots of people get married by my age.

[Are they thinking about Kija? No? Okay, he considers this a success.

Out loud, to Shin-ah, he adds:]

Ryokuryuu thinks differently than other people sometimes. Don't pay it too much mind, but just love him anyway, okay? He can't help it.

[He leaves that typed out for a good five minutes before completing the sentence and sending it.]

I suppose some would. Who is she? How old is she? You can tell me this, can't you?

[Shin-ah is rather interested in this too. He looks at Zeno and nods in agreement with those questions: yes, tell us Zeno.]

[You suppose, Jae-Ha? Mean. He fluffs Shin-ah's hair.]

Mm, I'm scared to tell you too much, all things considered.

[His smile is wiiide. It feels a little cheap to completely hide behind the "don't be too curious as a shinki" excuse, but throwing it out as a little stumbling block to them-- that he'll absolutely do, just in case he wants to backtrack later.]

She was my age. [At the time, anyway.] And the cutest girl in the world, of course. Any more than that, we'll need to negotiate an exchange of information.

Don't worry, Zeno won't force you to or anything like that. =)

[Does Zeno notice that he wrote "was?" It's a fair question. He might realize it later, or he might have already realized it, but it'd be false to say "is." Zeno doesn't mind taking advantage of ambiguities in phrasing, because it's fun, though he tries to save his out-and-out lies for special occasions.]

[Shin-ah catches it, too: was. That Zeno is (was?) married is a bit of a surprise, but not all that much so. Shin-ah sees no reason why someone wouldn't want to be married to him. He's kind. He's cheerful. He has a way of making people feel relaxed around him.]

That's not what I mean... I believe it, but...

Well, anything I'd like to ask regarding myself can't be answered without consequences.

Seiryuu is speculating she might be around here somewhere. That would be something, but there's no way of knowing. The three of you knew Zeno anyway, but she doesn't have that ability.

[There are consequences to questioning Zeno, too... but then again, it is a safe, lighthearted topic. One of the reasons Zeno introduced it. He sort of wishes he could see Jae-Ha's face when he read that, but the pause between texts was delightful as it is. Seeing Ryokuryuu's adorable surprised face might be more than his old heart could handle... some other time...

For a second, he debates the merit of keeping his other secrets. With the two of them being dead, it does not, on one level, matter anymore.

On the other hand, how mean, telling two dead kids he'd never be dead like them. And if he explained what his powers were, they might wonder where they came from, and that was too close to the Gods' greatest secret for Zeno to stomach.]

Would you believe she was strong? She carried Zeno over the threshold like it was nothing!

But you would know her...

[Unsaid is an expectation that if she were to be found, Zeno would introduce them-- right?]
