I understand a shinki is a weapon for their god. Are there other responsibilities included with that title?

How can I be more useful to my god?

I've heard that honesty is supposed to be a big thing.

To be honest how you feel with your god, and if there's any guilt, or negative feelings-that you make sure to speak to them, and try to solve the situation as soon as possible.

It's that, or risking blighting your god. Which is painful, from what I hear.

Unless it's with some of the daily activities or something. Does your god know how to cook, clean? It's not much, and it doesn't deal with hitting things but...

There aren't any overarching responsibilities as such. I'd recommend asking your god.

After all, each of them has different needs and interests.

You're supposed to guide them as well - morally - although my god seems to have me beat on that front anyways.

Every god has their own expectations it seems though.

Become someone they can rely on. Not just as a weapon, but as a form of support.

Support? What do you mean?

Talk to them. Gods generally don't want their shinki to fall to their every order - shinki are advisors and partners in a god's work. Nobody can tell you what your god in particular wants you to do but your god.

But I can tell you most gods I know of wouldn't be comfortable with you prioritising usefulness to your god over your own self. Or at least, that's how this looks.

It will depend on the god. As others have said, your most basic responsibility, aside from serving as a weapon, is to help them judge right from wrong.

Aside from that... get to know your god, learn what they need. You're a team, so it's important to complement each other's strengths and cover for each other's weaknesses, and to develop an understanding of what you're working together for.
