Has anyone ever woken up and found something completely random in their temple?

[ The camera pans to a cat, who's purring up a hell of a storm. ]

I didn't ask for him or anything. He just showed up this morning, from my home, I'm guessing.

I've only had a picture show up before, but a few people posted a while ago about finding animals from their own world in their temple suddenly.

Must be the weather or something.

So you haven't had any weird animals show up?

The vultures were already here, so I don't think that counts. As far as weird animals goes, I don't think a cat is going to be much trouble when I've heard people talk about dragons.

Suddenly I'm really glad I got this useless cat and not a dragon.

Seriously. At least a cat is easy to handle.

[Says the guy who's been looking after the cat cafe's "residents".]

Enough people here have them that it shouldn't cause any trouble if it wanders, either.

He can take pretty good care of himself, anyway. I'm not worried.

That's something, at least. And I'm sure he knows the danger of arrows better than certain animals I could mention.

When you put it like that, he seems like a pretty smart cat.

He's survived this long. That takes some level of intelligence.

[He's leaving out the specification of "in your world", since he figures most people don't appreciate having their dark histories broadcast.]

Yeah. You have a point.

I guess he's a pretty resilient cat.

[He'd probably do the same to her if she shared his, which is why he's taking the precaution.]

Aren't cats supposed to sleep a lot, anyway? He might not even need to take much care of himself if he stays around your temple.

Probably. That, or he'll just make a mess of the temple when he's bored or mad at me.

If you say so. I haven't met any cats other than strays or the ones in that cafe on the Near Shore in a while.

Wait, there's a cafe for cats?

[revolutionfalcon]

Not for cats, but people pay to be around cats while they do whatever it is people do at cafes. I don't really understand the draw, but it gets busy, so there must be something.

I guess people just really like cats here.

I suppose there's at least a reason for the people in the heavens to like them. They apparently sense us easier than most on the Near Shore and can help others see us more clearly.
