Not really. Can you describe what you did?

I put the water into the pot, then cut up the ingredients. [Badly] Then I put it on the stove to cook. Then I put flour into it to thicken it. [Just straight up way too much flour and not even in a slurry, so it just messed right up there.] And then I added some salt and some pepper to season it.

Well, I think that explains the overall consistency and the shininess of the resulting... whatever that is.

I suppose the first thing might be to label those more clearly in the future, or separate them physically enough so you won't use the wrong one. Assuming you can remember which one you put somewhere else entirely.

Yeah, you're right...I color coded them, so I thought I would be okay, but I forgot too easily.

That's a good idea, though. I think it will make the kitchen more organized, too.

If your labeling system does not work, you should indeed see about changing them.

Indeed, so long as you remember where they are after the change. Sometimes that can take a while.

I guess I could look up how to organize a kitchen, too. I've never really done that before, either. This kitchen is pretty big.

It's just a large kitchen. There isn't a lot in it. I guess I'll have to buy more stuff for it later.

Plus a new pot.

That's true! If I can manage at least that much, then that's one step in the right direction to being able to cook.
