HEAVEN'S BBS | TEXT

Have any shinki woken up one morning to find that they could suddenly recall something? Like a piece of their memory had been restored, as if it were never missing to begin with.
I need to know if it's a bad sign, or if anything needs to be done.

[Hm, give him a long moment as he tries to think about that. It's fine, probably. What relation could there be? It's... he'll just pay extra attention.]
It seemed a convenient way to reach many people at once... Is that why so many are private messaging me?
[private message | text]
If not, then maybe it's just a coincidence after all. One or two people could be coincidental.]
Yes, probably!
In any case, my theory is that, since we aren't normal shinki, our memories aren't as well suppressed as the memories of normal shinki.
From what I've been told, the greatest danger would be remembering something that causes feelings of guilt or despair. Even if the memories don't have a negative effect on you, those feelings could still blight you and your god.
[private message | text]
That does make sense. How, exactly, are we different from normal shinki? This isn't something that was ever explained to me.
And as for blight... It was a horrible memory, but I haven't caused any yet. I hope that means I can control my emotions well enough. I wonder if I should continue to check on him.

It's because their entire name comes from their god. To remember our real names and keep them even if we move from god to god... that's very unusual.
You can check for blight on your own body, as well, if you're concerned. It often seems to appear near the back of your neck, but it's possible for it to be anywhere. Use a mirror.
[private message | text]
That is unusual. I'd never heard that until now. Blight is something I've caused in the past, but only once. So it would appear on me each time, no matter what?

The three names are the character of your name, the name you're called as a vessel and the name you're called as a person, yes! Was that Suijin?
[private message | text]
Yes. Have you spoken to her about the same thing?

What on earth did you say?
[private message | text]
Next time I'll know better!
[private message | text]
I hope you're okay, at least.

[Youkai toughness is part of it; the majority, Hakkai's quite sure, was just luck.]
What did you and Suijin wind up discussing?
[private message | text]
She asked if I was prepared to face the consequences for that mindset. I told her I was, of course.

The Heavens do punish wrongdoers, or so I've heard. And "wrong" can mean anything that breaks their rules....

Quite recently, if what I heard was correct.

Ha ha, just don't test it with Fuujin. I assure you, trees hurt.
