I know everybirdie is really busy and there's been a lot going an lately but I've been thinking a lot about what happened at the party.

[Hiyoko is well aware that a lot of other stuff happened right after and there were plenty of gods and shinki still dealing with the fallout from that. That's why she gave it a few days. But now it's time to see if anybirdie else is thinking along the same lines as her.]

That fire was obviously set by people who aren't happy with Amaterasu. I'm not sure if it's her they don't like, or if she's put some unpopular policies in place, but we can't really ignore an attack like this. Has this group tired anything like this before? Have they made any other demands?

[Because 'down with Amaterasu' is one thing, but 'down with the heavens?' What are they supposed to do? Start hurling their temples at the near shore? That demand is way too vague.]

I also heard about an incident with poisoned chocolates. That was before I got here but the whole thing sounded pretty fishy. Does anybirdie else think that might have been an attempt to discredit Amaterasu? And if there any other incidents like that, I wouldn't mind hearing about them.

It would. Again, I'm not for this plan. It's most likely to go poorly for a list of reasons.
But I'm also not for the anonymous group or the way Amaterasu treats human lives. Nobody should die because of a "mix-up" heavenly or otherwise.
For now, we can assemble groups to deal with the actions of the anonymous groups, trying to help as many people on both shores as we can.

Yeah starting the revolution ourselves would be pretty crazy.
But I definitely think we need a third option.
I just don't know what that third option should be.

I wish we knew more. Like why people are getting pulled here and assigned to gods.
Maybe the group has something to do with it. We don't know what happened to the gods we're replacing.
It's also weird that there are so many foreign gods in the heavens of Japan.

Another guy I talked to thought the gods we replaced might just be dead.
I sure hope he's wrong about that though.

I hope so too.

Yeah.
If he is right, we're in big trouble.
But maybe they're okay.
Maybe they just replaced us in our worlds.

I'm not sure how well a goddess of modesty is going to work out in a heroics class.

That does sound rough.
Maybe she could champion the cause of censorship?

We mostly fight villains and rescue people. I don't think anybody champions censorship.

Then she'll have to come at modesty from another angle.
Maybe she could focus on being the most humble hero.

[This is clearly an important issue.]

Aidos is the goddess of modesty, shame and humility.
It'd be nice if I could go back to my life, but people need me here too.

Mielikki is a hunting goddess.
I actually think she'd do a good job being me.
But you're right.
Gods are important here so if the ones we replaced are dead then we really can't leave.

It's a little strange that I was chosen to be a Greek goddess, considering we're in Japan.

Mielikki is Finnish.

It's a little odd, people in Japan don't really pray to gods from so far away. Shinto and Buddhism are the two most prominent.

Except for all the cults dedicated to foreign gods you mean?
I'm just chalking that up to different dimension twilight zone stuff.
It's easier that way.
