so what does a guy have to do in order to get some real music around here? how abotu real instruments? idk about all you people but a few simple stringed instruments doesnt sound the same thing as actual rock and i cant even begin to understand some of the shit things ive seen pretending to be an instrument in the local place

for that matter how mabny people actually can play things? not just the traditional ladeeda stuff buit other stuff too? there's gotta be a few people with some kind of skills i cant be the only one that twistches when someone misses a note

and whats up with the whole fire shit? was that some kind of warning or did someone forget to watch their back or something? and why's there not any kind of scvhool system or even anything like that? not that i really want to go to school but it seems kinda lame that there's nothing to do unless you wanna go answer prayers or hang around looking okay and stuff. it's so srs dull here!

[Hey, guess who is 6'5 and looking over your shoulder, seeing these replies? If you guessed Aymeric, you're right! Don't mind him being amused at some of these messages, mainly the one about not letting him drink all the booze and having him sleep in a bed. And he'll keep on carrying him to it.]

I must be harsh on you, moreso if you end up in a bed rather a table the next sunrise.

[He's tall for his race but he doesn't know that nor does he really understand that it would be easy for someone to be looking over his shoulder at what he's doing. When he spoke up, Byung-hee looked over at him and squinted before covering his phone.]

It's not that. It's that I feel like it's too much. Everything's just [vague hand wave at their surroindings] much, right?

[Wait...has the look of the temple made the guy feel strange?]

You talk of the temple? Hmm, I suppose it is...something but I have seen gaudier and a lot more stone.

[Compared to the harsh grey stones of home, this place felt more comforting. But his tastes may not be the same as Byung-hee's and he knows it.]

[He thinks places like this are just stuff of dreams or something. He doesn't remember his life or world, but there is a distinctive feeling of offness being surrounded by the walls and the stuff like he was. It didn't seem right.]

I don't even want to imagine something with more stuff then this. [He makes a face and goes back to his phone and frowns at his image in it.] Also there's something wrong with my face.

[Hmmm.]

I see no rule about keeping the look as is. Mayhap we can find a shop to get some ideas; we both live here after all.

[That was strangely easy but Aymeric even if he was the god, still served others before himself. So honestly it was no big deal.]

Could we? Aren't we suppose to do other stuff instead of get new furniture or something?

[At least that's what he assumes is suppose to happen while being here. He didn't think that gods should be doing anything but answering prayers if he was to take to heart what the others were saying here and there.]

It's not right. [He patted his pockets until he finally found a slim eyeliner stick and, switching the phone to camera mode, used it to reapply his eyeliner to its cateye glory.] There. Now it's right.

No one said that we could not multitask.

[Now that the initial high has gone down, Aymeric had to think for a moment about what exactly a god needs to do because maybe it was due to his world, but it sounds something bad but maybe good here? Thankfully he can keep that hidden and just in time to because what was that black stuff Byung-hee was putting on?]

[He touched up the line under one eye, making sure it was smudged properly and then capped the eyeliner pencil and tucked it away. Then shutting off the phone, he turned around and attempted to put his arm over Aymeric's shoulder. This being a difficult thing with their height never occurred to him if it was a little awkward for both parties involved.]

It's my armor against normality, a shield against plainness and really cool shit called eyeliner.

[He tried, it's hard with someone pretty tall so the most he got was his back but it doesn't mean Aymeric can't lean in. He still can't get with putting stuff on one's face that wasn't a cleaner but hey, different worlds.]

Oh I see, tis a way to rebel against what can be considered normal? It is new to me but rather interesting indeed.

[Byung-hee snickered and bounced back, giving him a look before rubbing his hands together.]

It kinda is and kinda isn't. Rockers always wear some kind of makeup, but I like my eyeliner. I guess it is rebellious since kids usually don't wear a lot. Do you wanna try some? I can show you how but we'll need to get you your own stuff.

[If Byung-hee knew more about this culture than Aymeric, it can count as a good teaching tool. He's gonna need it badly.]

Hmm, if it will help me know more about this world and how it works, I can try it out.

[Nah, it'll just make him look pretty. Fair warning: supervise him for the internet.]

[It wasn't really his true culture being that Byung-hee is Korean and they are in a Japanese area, but it's close enough. He's got a good idea so at least one of them won't be too lost.]

Ahh, it's not really something you need to do because it's standard but I like putting it on.

[In fact, he is pretty weird considering a lot of girls just went for a soft slight line instead of the cateye glamour look he has going on. But he doesn't worry about that. Instead he waves his hands around and bounces on his heels.]

So, should we look into this shopping thing?

[The moment he realizes that Aymeric doesn't know internet, he is so gonna keep an eye on him.]

[Both should be lucky that the new god is more of a curious type instead of scoffing. He would seriously practice until he got it perfectly right. Never know when it can be pretty useful. ~~Loaded statement~~]

Our best chance is the Far Shore; I am sadly not familiar with that Internet and machine I found in my office so seeing the items in person would give us a better judgement.

[That they should since Byung-hee would certainly not be intimidated by someone who would scoff at him and his eye makeup. In fact, he would pull all sorts of problems for that type of person since he was the type that found strict people fun to poke at.]

You've never been on a computer before? [That got some of his due consideration because it's weird. People have internet. It was just there.] Your world must suck. I'll teach you its secrets later.

I have never heard of a computer until here. Most magitek items are either from the ancient Allagan Empire or the Garleans...neither are a very good example.

[He would have fun until he gets killed.]

Computers aren't magic. I think. [Don't ask him to explain. He can barely explain what a muse is even though he wasn't sure why he needed to explain something that was - to him - something really simple to get.] They're like electronics and code and stuff.

[Code? Electronics? It all just gets a blank look from Aymeric because what is code not written? In other words: it goes right over his head enough to make an awkward silence for a couple minutes.

Seems like I have much to learn about this place...but we have plenty of time.

[His default state of handling people who were having a mental breakdown over what he said was to just continue to talk like they were still able to process what he had said. So while Aymeric was blinking about code and electronics, Byung-hee was chatting about finding a music store to see what he could really do and maybe something that was not a school uniform would be nice too.

So Aymeric shouldn't be too surprised to find that he was already making a shopping list while sitting on a table legs crossed and writing said list on his hand with a pen.]

...and some liquid eyeliner glitter and some jeans. Okay?

[Whoops he should pay attention more. But at least he caught the boy writing on his hand and handed him a pad of paper. The Heavens knew how to stock up.]

Here, this might be easier and a small chance of your writing getting smudged. And as long as these jeans are not dangerous, it should suffice.

[Only dangerous if someone likes looking at butts.]

[He squints at the notepad, takes it and pushes it into a pocket and then puts the cap back on his pen. The dire threat of smudged ink doesn't worry him, nor does the idea of losing the list. He'll survive the ink smudge, though he had to laugh a little about the dangerous jeans.]

Right. So no skinny jeans for you.

[Jumping off the table, he reached up to pat Aymeric on the shoulder and then headed or a doorway. If he was lucky, he actually found one that lead to the way out.]
