Can Shinki get sick?

[ A seemingly simple question, but one that's been clawing at him for days. The symptoms have become too painful to ignore, so he bites his tongue and seeks answers because unknown to him, his bloodlust has begun to manifest. ]

I've never seen a tattoo before like that in my life. [ Interwoven thorns with blades. ] It almost looks like a flower of some kind... [ She has half a mind to reach up to touch it, but thankfully she stops herself before then, withdrawing her hand to her chest. ] I'd wager that it's a seal.

[ It wouldn't have been just a tattoo if he didn't claw at it before. Clearly, the seal remained even though the skin was damaged. What else, what else...? Her brow furrows as she thinks back to the memories she's seen. A tattoo on his neck. Pills that turn the water red. A cruel alter personality that shoots without question. ] Zero, do you, um, ...take medication for anything?

A seal?

[ People his age got tattoo's all the time, so he thought... ]

What kind of seal?

[ His eyes furrow at the unexpected question. ]

I don't know.

[ And then he thinks back, only then remembering the initial inventory check he'd done when he'd arrived. ]

Maybe.

[miraculo]

I'm not quite sure what kind of seal, since it's not one I've seen before. [ Well, clearly its not of her world. So she wouldn't have studied it. A pause, and then a head tilt. ] ...Just a "maybe"?

[ His lips press together as he reaches into his pocket and pulls out a small silver case. ]

When I arrived. [ He slides the top of it open with his thumb and shows her the pills inside. ] I had these with me. I don't know what they're for.

[miraculo]

[ She leans over, looking into its contents. They look like ordinary pills. ] I suppose you haven't taken any of them, have you?

[ She doesn't know if they're dangerous or not, or perhaps they're only for him. ] Hm... [ She's going to reach in the bottle and pluck one out, and then in out of her bag she takes out a small cup. With her power, she pours clear water into the cup, and then places the pill inside it.

Just like it was in the memory, it turns the water red. She brings it up, sniffing it, and then makes a face. ] It smells like... blood. [ She looks back at Zero. ] But I doubt this is some sort of strange medicine for anemia...

[moonlitknight]

[ He shakes his head. If he was dead, why would he need medicine? Besides, he didn't know what it had been for and until this moment had forgotten all about them. ]

...........

[ The pill drops into the water turning it red like wine, and it sloshes around with the same consistency. It doesn't smell like anything just a regular drink but Zero immediately knocks it out of her hand and it splashes on the ground as the startled Hunter looks on surprised by his own reaction. ]

I'm-- I don't--

[ He takes a step back at his senses clash with each other. The scent had been appetizing yet the moment it reached his senses he felt a sharp aversion to it, but he didn't know why! ]

[miraculo]

[ She notices his aversion, and her gaze once again becomes concerned when he knocks the glass out of her hand. ] ....It's okay, it's okay. Just-- [ She's starting to put pieces together, the report of his eyes changing, the blood-red color of the pills in water, his hunger. Staring to.

There's just a little bit more information she needs, but she feels she's close to figuring this out. ] Just... please, tell me what you're feeling right now. What sensations does that liquid evoke? [ She's determined to help him through this. ]

I-- [ He shakes his head. This... it wasn't right. He didn't want to drink it. He didn't know why but-- He pulls out one of the pills and stares at it in his hand. ]

I don't like it... like that. [ Like them. The vampires who drank it to ease their bloodlust. ]

It feels wrong.

[ He only ever swallowed them whole, his own little rebellion. He didn't know he was a vampire and the pills would do little to reveal it to him when they were only a means to ease the hunger and right now, Zero wasn't hungry. He'd forced himself to calm down before posing his question. ]

I don't think I'm supposed to take it that way.

[ A gut feeling, nothing more. ]

[miraculo]

[ Right, so. Having these put in water is not the answer. ] ...And you haven't bothered to try one for yourself yet, I take it?

[ She brings up another pill, this time to her own mouth, seemingly about to pop it between her lips. ] I suppose it couldn't hurt if I tried it, then? It looks like it turns the water into some sort of blood-colored liquid. Maybe I could let you know what effects it has. [ And since she's a god, she supposes that she'll be okay? Maybe? ] Iron is good for you, after all. [ And blood has iron!

...Nope it's still gross to her, but SHE'D BE WILLING TO BE THE GUINEA PIG FOR HIM IF IT WOULD HELP. ]
