Can Shinki get sick?

[ A seemingly simple question, but one that's been clawing at him for days. The symptoms have become too painful to ignore, so he bites his tongue and seeks answers because unknown to him, his bloodlust has begun to manifest. ]

[The answer is somewhat delayed, because someone noticed the near-panic reaction and calmed him down by distracting him with chores about the shrine.]

[ A shinki... unfamiliar, but still a shinki and most importantly, new. He'd been here only a few weeks, so he knew the feeling of uncertainty that stemmed from their circumstances. He tones down the hostility, for now. ]

[Without any conscious thought on his part, his hand has once again gone up to his chest - why? Feeling for a heartbeat? As if he can't feel his heart hammering so hard, it's a wonder his rib cage doesn't break.

[ His anger suddenly flares at that statement, it's fuel unknown, but it grates at him just as fiercely making it difficult to stop it from leaking into his response. ]

Everyone gets sick. Even these so-called gods. They die like everyone else.
