Can Shinki get sick?

[ A seemingly simple question, but one that's been clawing at him for days. The symptoms have become too painful to ignore, so he bites his tongue and seeks answers because unknown to him, his bloodlust has begun to manifest. ]

[ Another familiar face. ]

Is there medicine made for Shinki's?

Not that I know of, at least. What is it that you're feeling? I may be able to help from there.

[ He asked for help, and considering he's spoken to him before he'll be somewhat forthcoming. ]

Hunger. Thirst.

[ More like starvation. His throat is constantly parched. ]

This may be a strange question, but have you been eating regularly as well? I don't believe we need to eat, but if I jump too much, I grow tired and hungry myself...

Is it different than that?

I've been eating regularly. It doesn't make the hunger go away.

[ Or thirst. ]

That's not like anything I've heard of before. If you think long and hard about it, is there something in particular you're wanting?

[It's... nowhere near the same as his dragon senses, but he'd had to listen to his body when he first arrived, as well. So, perhaps that...?]

[ His fingers clench on the device. He doesn't want to admit it to himself yet, doesn't even know for sure, only has suspicions but none of them are good. ]

I don't know. It's not food.

[ That, at least, has become glaring obviously. ]

Are there any foods that help more than others?

[moonlitknight]

[ He's suddenly still, his body growing cold as he finds out of another possibility. ]

What do you know about the Blight?

[ He mentioned it before so he must know more about it. ]

I've caused it before on accident, so I know plenty. What they call holy or purified water will help with any dark mark like that, but as a shinki, if you're experiencing symptoms, it should have been caused by direct contact with an ayakashi.

[ Holy water. He needed to find holy water. ]

Can you have contact with one without knowing?

[ It was the only explanation that made sense.]

[ A moment later, a second message comes through. ]

Where can I get holy water?

[razzledazzles]

Not that I know of. I believe if an ayakashi causes it, it's painful... But if you've blighted your god, then there can be a mark unfelt from that. It shouldn't cause any symptoms, though.

Holy water can be found at some of the shrines.

[ He's never met his god, so he doesn't know if he has or not. Either way, it doesn't matter. He'll be getting rid of it soon. ]

Some? Which ones have it?

[ He's already moving out of the Near Shore to return back to the Far Shore in order to get the holy water. He can either give him directions or Zero will scourge all over until he finds it. ]

Which area are you in? I can tell you the ones I know closest to you.

[He'll respond with a small list of what he does know if Zero does give him the area.]

[ His response is rapid-fast. ]

The Near Shore. I'll be coming back near Artemis Temple.

[razzledazzles]

There may be some in that very shrine connected to the temple. If not, I believe there's one not too far from there... Head east.

[ A rare pair of words, but ones he means fully. He's back on the Far Shore soon enough and heading east. It's a good thing his tracking skills haven't been wiped along with his memories of how he acquired them. ]

What am I looking for?

If it's still water at a shrine, it's likely purified water.

[ Minutes pass before he sends another text. ]

What do I do with it?

[ Did he just splash it on himself? ]

In the case of blight, washing the affected area seemed to work. Do you even have a mark?

[ He takes off his jacket and pulls off the tie.]

Yes.

[ Was the simple answer as he used the water to wash off the Hunter tattoo on his neck. ]

[ Unsurprisingly, it doesn't sting nor does it come off. Seeing the fruitless results, Zero becomes more vigorous in his cleansing until his raw from the scrubbing. ]

Nothing's happening.

Then whatever that mark is must not be blight.
