I'm curious about this sudden influx of "pets", but this is getting ridiculous. Pigs, dragons, demons, and now whatever this is supposed to be.

I found it in my room hanging from a pile of disgusting cobwebs. I have no idea what it's for, but it appears to be a small hovering device that projects this holographic cube form. The face and "ears" disappear sometimes. It won't stop following me around so I guess it's mine now.

It gets along with the cat. I think it's supposed to be simulating one? It vibrates strangely when I touch it sometimes. Very odd.

[... Thoughts of envy, then. It matches the explanation he heard before about "immoral" thoughts causing blight, but turning into an Ayakashi...? That's a detail he hasn't heard about yet. He assumed they'd just die if they got blighted too badly, but apparently that's not always the case. Hmm.

Isn't that explanation also kind of suspicious, though? Saying that they can't think about the living or their pasts lest they turn into a monster... couldn't that just be a way to try and keep the shinki complacent?]

You'd think something like that would be a more commonly-known fact, if it's so important. Have you personally witnessed this type of occurrence before, or is this information strictly second-hand?

[It's probably not commonly known because it's contagious to shinki. (At the moment he's fervently hoping that he doesn't corrupt both Yuuki and Add-san.) He bets all the gods know about it.
