I'm curious about this sudden influx of "pets", but this is getting ridiculous. Pigs, dragons, demons, and now whatever this is supposed to be.

I found it in my room hanging from a pile of disgusting cobwebs. I have no idea what it's for, but it appears to be a small hovering device that projects this holographic cube form. The face and "ears" disappear sometimes. It won't stop following me around so I guess it's mine now.

It gets along with the cat. I think it's supposed to be simulating one? It vibrates strangely when I touch it sometimes. Very odd.

[Wow Add have you never seen Toy Story before?] lego are building blocks used to make stuff, it's super mega popular. your pet kind of looks like something made out of legos! that's a good thing, trust me.

well maybe it has special powers that you don't know about yet. have you tried giving it treats or feed it? cats like tuna!

An AI hologram can't eat tuna, don't be ridiculous. [but he may have asked it that question anyway...] I was able to get some information out of it and it does appear to have some sort of battle program installed. Unfortunately, it's locked behind a passcode so I can't access the program directly or see what it's capable of. That's all I have so far.

i can unlock things, i could try if you want? i have no idea if that works with passcodes and holograms but it's worth a shot.

Unlock things how? It's a program inside of a device so it's not like there's a physical lock inside it. Are you saying you can hack advanced security systems?

well a passcode is pretty much a password right? that keeps you locked out of something? doesn't have to be physical i can unlock magical locks too so it's proooobbbbaly roughly the same thing. [Maybe.] i wouldn't call my power hacking it's just getting around barriers and stuff.

That sounds annoyingly vague. Is this some kind of spell you're talking about?

it's not a spell it's my god power! I dispel unlock reset stuff. like uhhhhh a skeleton key? i'm just saying i could try to unlock that passcode if you want me to!

I suppose it's worth a try anyway... if it's a security system that can be bypassed using such an easy method, it's certainly not one I'd wish to continue using.

i guess that's true. either way if it can get your pet using that battle program that's great!

i used to have pets that fought with me too, and it's good to have them around.

Right. Of course, since I have no details on it it's possible it might not even be completed or usable... but at least if I can unlock that knowledge, I'll know what I have to work with. There could be other things of use stored there as well.

[Of course, this plan still leaves the problem of...] I'm busy with other things right now, so I'll bother you about it later. The combat system is important but there are more delicate matters I have to attend to first. [How much longer is he going to have to keep avoiding people like this...? It's starting to get a bit ridiculous. If getting the parts to fix this eye takes any longer, maybe he'll just make up some better excuse...]

Yes, I imagine it will be quite useful to have something to do the fighting for me. [What, teamwork? Why would anyone want to do that when they have a cool superpowered pet to do the work for them??] Although, maintenance and repairs might be an issue since I'm not fully familiar with it yet... it might not be too reliable, in that sense.

you bet it is, pets that can battle with you are great they can really back you up in a pinch! also there’s gotta be a god out there that has some sort of power or know-how about all the rest of that stuff. with so many of us around there’s gotta be at least one person that can help if he needs repairs. but needing repairs can’t happen that often can it?

i was pretty lucky my dream eaters just ate dreams so they didn’t need that much care they pretty much took care of themselves! except for wanting attention and wanting candy.

It's nothing you need to concern yourself with. [Add doesn't even know Sora knows about that... as far as he's aware, the most recent issue was contained between the involved parties, Hibari's god and that Hakkai person.]

I think you misunderstood me. I'm definitely the most skilled person here when it comes to machinery and electronics. The only reason why it might be an issue is because I haven't been able to properly study it yet, but once I do it'll be a piece of cake to perform any necessary repairs.

Eating dreams? How does that work? Dreams are just a sensory illusion created by the brain during REM sleep, so they're not a real thing that could be extracted or used as sustenance. Do they use a method of feeding on pure energy from an incapacitated target that effects memory or brain functions, perhaps?

ooohhhhhh! yeah i had no idea you were good with that stuff. must be handy. then you'll have no problem taking care of your lego pet. [He kind of wonders if Add would find it interesting that he's been inside a computer system before and that was one of his friends was a literal computer program.]

honestly i don't really know! they just never seemed to be hungry or sleepy and were always ready to fight with me. it was pretty great! but yeah i have no idea how they ate dreams that's just what joshua and neku told me. if anything they do just eat the energy. ones that ate nightmares were bad though.

Of course, it's exactly as I said. Feel free to keep that in mind if you ever need a mechanic, kuku. [maybe they had a bit of a rough start but it's hard for Add to hate a guy who bribes him with chocolate and acknowledges his amazing skills... not that he'd offered to do anything for free.]

So you never witnessed them eating "dreams" to be certain of how it worked? Does that mean they were eating yours while you were unguarded, or did they target others while you weren't watching? [Important questions. Doesn't it seem kind of unsafe to feed energy parasites with your own energy??]

wow! thanks add i'll keep that in mind. i'm not that great with that kind of stuff.

i mean probably?? they've never hurt anyone so i assume that's how it works! whenever i fell asleep i couldn't remember my dreams when i woke up so that's what they must have done!

You don't think that might be a little concerning? You're basically allowing a creature you don't fully understand to harvest your energy.

they protected me and fought with me, i really don't think they are hurting me even if they eat some energy or whatever. they were really important pals to me if they needed to eat a dream or two i'm fine with that! they really saved my butt so i don't think it's bad at all.
