I'm curious about this sudden influx of "pets", but this is getting ridiculous. Pigs, dragons, demons, and now whatever this is supposed to be.

I found it in my room hanging from a pile of disgusting cobwebs. I have no idea what it's for, but it appears to be a small hovering device that projects this holographic cube form. The face and "ears" disappear sometimes. It won't stop following me around so I guess it's mine now.

It gets along with the cat. I think it's supposed to be simulating one? It vibrates strangely when I touch it sometimes. Very odd.

Judging by the network at least two other people, other than Hermes, woke up with a surprise in their room. Reasons for that are unknown.

If it's a device, then it's probably lucky for you.

Exactly. The fact that Hermes obtained an animal from his home is only a single point of data, so we can't be certain if it's the same for the others. These things could've come from anywhere.

However... even if we're not certain of their origins, it does seem likely that they have some connection to the people who ended up with them. Whether it's an item from our past life or something that was picked out to suit our tastes, it's not completely random. For example, it makes perfect sense for someone like me to be given advanced technology.

Did you find anything strange in your temple today? I don't know how far spread the effects are, but it's worth checking.

We'd need to wait if more of the gods receive those "gifts".

And no, I have not noticed anything new neither in my room nor on temple grounds.

It could be something more unusual, so you should check thoroughly. Or it may not be a physical object. [Like with Yuuki.]

Although, if you didn't receive anything that also begs the question of what decided who received these gifts?

Whoever decided it, they clearly deemed me unworthy of such gift. For better or worse.

The details of the how and why are still a mystery, so it could also be that your gift hasn't arrived yet, or it's something that isn't immediately noticeable. Be sure to keep an eye out for anything unusual just in case.

Of course, these could also be part of trap of some sort, so it may indeed be for the best, kuku.

Everything could be a trap. But so far, despite the commotion, no announcement of mysterious infiltration was made.

Given how long the higher-ups took to respond last time, it might be a simply case of "not yet made".

If you suddenly disappear forever it can be safely assumed it was a trap.

Only if all the others who received gifts disappear as well. Otherwise, there aren't enough connecting factors to come to that conclusion.
