[As usual with Ebisu, this video takes place within his office where he's cheerfully looking into the camera. Is a dandy little vest and button up on today again? Oh, absolutely.]

Greetings, everyone. I'm sure that you are all quite busy, with events transpiring as they have, but I am here today to draw your attention to a festival which is occurring all month. I understand that many of you are gods foreign to Japan and recent cultural trends, so I hope this proves to be informative.

In the city of Nara- Naramachi to be exact- there is an art festival that will be ongoing throughout all of June. It's really a rather unique event! You see, that part of town has the nickname of Nyaramachi, because it's rather famous for its local cat population. So the art festival which takes place this month is very cat oriented! Hopefully it can help ease some of the stress that we've all been under. I've been told there are a variety of events to attend, and various items that can be bought, such as pottery or toys.

Although... If there are some people who perhaps have the time for it, it does seem as though there is a little trouble, as there usually is with large Near Shore events such as this. If anyone has the time to check in on a few things... Well, it would be appreciated. For all that this is a very fun event, well, it is ultimately for the sake of the feline residents' health and happiness, you see. I'm sure it's not only the humans which would appreciate any helping hands.

[ He says it as if it's the most normal thing in the world. Shen Wei is not the most subtle of people after all. ]

I'm pretty sure I need to talk to him about what he will be willing to do, but he seems to feel that cats deserve more celebrations.

Oh, I see.

[What do you mean that's not totally normal? Ebisu accepts it about as easily as Shen Wei says it. The Far Shore is just so darn weird sometimes, after all.]

I'm certain he'll enjoy what this festival has to offer, then! Just about everything will be cat themed, so they'll certainly get their due respect. With so much happening, I'm sure he'll find something acceptable to do.

[So much to help out with. After all, Ebisu is quietly using this as a way to clear up some prayers on his own end as well. Cats are a popular creature, as it turns out, and it's not hard to find people endeared into helping them or things that would help them.]

What sort of things are you skilled at, Nanshe-sama?

Ummmm.... I'm really good at cooking? I've practiced a lot!

Oh! But if you mean what do I do as a god? I can help heal people. And if there are ayakashi, they don't like the light that I have. Nanshe... she liked to look after everyone who got lost or lonely and tried to give them a safe place to stay and take care of them.

I meant more as a general rule. It's best to help out with your strong points, right? It's why there are so many different gods, and types of people.

[What do you mean gods are people- ]

There are cat cafes that I'm sure would be overjoyed to have your sort of help! Have you ever been to one before?

That sounds absolutely delightful! It is always good to help the animal population!

[Distractions from the negative definitely make this a highly appealing event, Ebisu must say. He smiles right back.]

There is a lot of focus on that, which is very heartwarming to see. Not only do the people in that area do their best to find homes for the many cats there, they take care of the reproductive health as well.

That's good to know, the people there seem to love their furry friends, that's really nice. And then it's important to care for all parts of their health.

[ When there are so many cats, that is the responsible thing to do. ]

That's right. I can understand the difficulty in getting such procedures done, however, but that is when humans show their best compassion in coordinating events such as these and using the money raised to take care of the problem.

[He can gladly say he's a god of commerce, when that's the goal.]

It seems that many people here in the Far Shore care a lot for animals as well, doesn't it?

[The person manning the phone doesn't even get a chance to shut off the video function, because Ebisu is already gladly leaning forward a bit.]

Hello, Apollo's companion! I imagine you would like to go to the cat festival as well, wouldn't you?

[ Rosalie pounces on the exciting box full of moving colors and sounds. It skips away from her paws, though, so she chases it off the table - and then knocks it across the room. “Nyarl.” ]

What on Earth...

[ Hibiki’s feet are visible for two seconds before the phone goes skidding again.

But that is enough for Ebisu to witness a teacup’s demise. ]

[Oh, there's a person with the vocal chords to actually talk. And talk a lot, honestly, since it's Apollo. Ebisu stays relaxed and chipper.]

Hello, Apollo-sama. Are you alright? It seemed like a teacup broke. I wouldn't want you to get hurt by a careless hard.

[Honestly, she seems to go through a lot of teacups... Ebisu is almost a little worried, really, but Hibiki seems to be dealing well enough.]

That sounds amazing! Little Mister, how does one participate in it? Do you have temples there for easy access? Actually, should I ask these questions at work instead?

[chibisu]

You can ask them wherever you like. [Ebisu smiles back. In some aspects, he is incredibly flexible, as it turns out.] To participate, all you need to do is go to Naramachi and do what interests you. There are quite a lot of choices so I don't think it should be that hard.

I also have some shrines nearby, so if anyone would like to use them for easy transportation, I don't mind.

That's good to know! Then I'll ask questions wherever I can when I have them. [ You don't know what you have unleashed, Ebisu. Now he'll feel like he can ask the weirdest questions. ] So there are zero rules in participation in this thing?

[chibisu]

[So question-fests are going to be a thing in the future. Well, that's fine, probably. Still, at that question in particular, Ebisu tilts his head to the side.]

Well, there are always rules in place for most things. Is there something in particular you're wondering about?

A curious ball of fluff that has in some way managed to get hold of a neglected piece of future.

This one is a dog, though.

You can only see the nose of this little keeshond, nothing else. Except a lot of poof and maybe a hint of tongue. Loksa wants to talk, too! ]

[On Ebisu's side, what sounds like a young man makes a faint "oh" and is about to just... shut that video off, considering that it's clearly just an accident. However, that's not fast enough to beat Ebisu, who promptly perks up.]

Oh, hello there.

[What do you mean that it's just a dog? This is the Far Shore. Ebisu is willing to believe in the intelligence of animals.]

Are you interested in this festival?

[ The other one not thinking they can't talk is sad, when they so clearly can.

Even if this dog doesn't speak Japanese.

"Woof!" she says happily, and her tongue goes over her nose and she pants equally cheerfully. Yes, she's interested in this festival! ]

[Does... does he? Questions his shinki ask every day. Still, Ebisu is going to charge through with this no matter what. After all, clearly the dog is interested, or else she would have left, right?]

Have you ever been to Naramachi before? As long as you were polite and didn't bother the cats, I think your presence would be more than acceptable.
