[It sure has been a long time since that mysterious romance anon popped up, which is kind of funny considering that they tossed out two chapters immediately after one another the last time he popped up. However, today, well, there's sure an anonymous post up on the network again!]
Some people need to stop wasting my time. I haven't been able to focus on writing for a while now. I'm not sure if this is any good but it's what I got out over the past few months. It's only recently that I've been able to get a lot more time again without needing to worry. Also, thinking of using those dollmaker things to help with visuals for characters. Thoughts? - keiyuki
P.S. I guess this is dedicated to someone I know who's not around anymore.
[Are they going to explain anything about that? Absolutely not. But there are the past chapters to look over for those interested in catching up on this dumb project of theirs.]
[The scene opens up with Casimiro, the protagonist, and his partner, Elio, lingering as they watch a clean up investigation crew in the cells where their perp from the other night has been mysteriously killed. Elio brings up the question on if it was another inmate, and Casimiro's response is that it couldn't be possible- the guy was in a solitary cell. Before they can talk much more, their commanding officer Deacon Caputo storms away from the crew and passes them. As he does so, he mutters, "This isn't right". Neither officer can understand what he means by that, and eventually go back to their desks with the admission that they'll be called for information if it's necessary. However, Casimiro has to admit that something about the situation doesn't feel right, so he looks a little further into the previous night's incident. His investigation brings up that the perp was a bartender in a certain part of town, and those on social media seem surprised that he took drugs at all. Unsatisfied with how "his case" has turned out, even if it's now out of his hands, Casimiro gets off work only to start to head off towards a club and bar district in the city. Elio ends up following after him after bothering him insistently on what he's doing, and Casimiro answers that he's going to see a friend of his to see if he knows anything about some details of the case.]
[This takes them to a club, deeply late at night where it's just preparing, and....]
Even in the still dim lighting of the club, Davide D'Angelo stood out with all the obnoxiousness of a firework that had been loaded into a tanning machine at the highest possible output. Half of him was blazing orange, including his tan: the feather boa wrapped around his neck, the feather coat beneath it, and his gaudy platform shoes. As he made his way down from the DJ set up to where Casimiro and Elio were waiting, Davide pushed his heavily tinted shades further up his nose in a way that guaranteed no one would ever seen his eyes. Casimiro was pretty sure this meant he couldn't see anything either. That never stopped Davide.
"Well hello there Officer," he said. "Not indulging the universal uniform fetish today, I see. I'm going to say that means you don't have a search warrant for harassing me at my place of work, right."
"Not from the state," Casimiro said plainly. "But the court of shutting the hell up." Besides him, Elio gave a sharp laugh. He hadn't heard him use that kind of language before.
"That's not what the state said in bed last night."
Elio took this moment to pipe up. "How do you two even know each other?"
Davide answered before Casimiro could. "We're married."
[They're not married. Rather, they're just old friends who give each other shit constantly. Davide takes them to a private room in back for the following conversation, after Elio stops getting worked up about how the two of them act around each other. There, Casimiro asks Davide about the local bartending scene and about the kind of drugs that get around. Despite describing it in long and overly descriptive way (written a little awkwardly in parts with the writer clearly unused to it), Davide manages to be pretty knowledgeable about the subject. He explains while it's not unheard of, injected drugs tend to be uncommon in his experience, at least in their part of the city. It was easy to make and pop pills, or smoke things like marijuanna. As Casimiro continues through the conversation, Davide reveals there's another drug but, until someone became a hard user, it tended to give a rush before exhausting them.]
[His final words turn serious, as he tells Casimiro and Elio that he knows of a place in town where those types of things tend to be even more common than in the clubs, but they're far away from the usual bar hopping scenes. And he's been overhearing things from club goers that hint they don't want to go anywhere near it...]

Cats do seem to be pretty popular.
[Both regularly and as people with cat attributes. Chikusa has seen a lot of manga characters with cat ears.]
I'm wondering if it should be a regular house cat or something more wild. And also how to implement that kind of character, obviously.
no subject
[Whatever that gap was, obviously. A cat could do anything.]
no subject
Then I'll think over the details. It might take a little while to implement. I don't want to do this too poorly.
[Amateur poorly and purposefully half-assed are two different things, after all.]
I guess I'll be doing a lot of research on cats then. I thought there weren't too many, but I thought that about romance cliches as well.
[And there... are so many... cliches and tropes... about romance.]
no subject
Yeah humans make romance way more complicated than it has to be. If you need help with cat research let me know and I'll help. [He's an expert after all.]
no subject
[Actually, they always are. Always. Chikusa is pretty certain on this.]
Then, what are some cat things that humans wouldn't think about normally, do you think?
no subject
[Other cat things...] Fish is really important to cats, your shifter detective will want to spend most of their pay on fish of some kind. Other food is good too.
no subject
This sounds like you know all of this from experience.

[This might as well happen.]
Then when I finally decide to implement this sort of character, could I contact you again for some beta reading? To see if I have the portrayal right.
no subject
This is my number, so just contact me when you want.
no subject
Let me know if you get any cat preferences in the mean time.
[Gotta pick that species and all.]
no subject
Or... Not. You can be in touch with me. [It's hard to contact an anonymous person after all.]
