[ Nanako appears on the video screen this morning (because video is still easier than typing out longer messages) looking a little confused. And... maybe a little different? Is her hair longer? Has something else changed? It's hard to tell. But she's frowning very seriously as she records the video and looks to be trying to figure something out herself. ]

I... I'm back? I'm back in my temple again. Hello? Was I gone a long time? Are people still here? Sora's not here anymore - I can't feel him at all - but Chikusa? Ken? Is everyone else still here? How long was I gone for? I don't know what happened. I was home again and... now I'm back.

[ For a moment, she looks like she's about to cry over that, so she quickly closes the video again. ]

Anyway, she makes a thoughtful hum to at least sound like she maybe understand. ]

It sounds really complicated. It's really confusing, though! I feel like I've been gone for so long.

I suppose it is really very complicated.

[There's really no denying that... Garry can barely understand it himself, after all.]

Do you think it's better or worse that it wasn't a long time for the people who care about you here...?

Mmmmm.... [ She takes a long moment to think about that. ] Better, maybe? I don't want to make my friends worry about me, or have to miss me for a long time. I don't want anyone to be sad.

Then there's your bright side to all of this. I'm sure a lot of people were worried about you, but they didn't have to go for ages without seeing you. And I'm sure that much is true for the people back home.

Well.... I'm not sure the people back home even knew I was gone? [ She squints at this, because that was real confusing. ] When I was there, it didn't feel like I'd ever come here at all, and no one else knew about it either. It was like I'd never even left!

I see. I can understand why you're so confused. I can't even begin to understand something like that...

[And he suspects it sure messes up his own planet analogy pretty dang thoroughly. Well, at least he can count himself lucky that she didn't seem to really get that in the first place...]

There's a lot we still don't know about this place, isn't there?

[ She huffs out a deep breath. ]

Yeah, it's really confusing. And weird.

Well, even if it is confusing and weird... At least you're not alone, right? That's the most important thing.

[None of them can exactly solve this mystery just yet, but they can at least make the choice to be together and care for one another.]

Yeah!

[ That has her smiling again, her expression warming once more at the reminder. At least she's easy to distract from being sad? ]

I really like everyone I get to be with here.

[Thank goodness that children can be so easily distracted by positive thoughts or treats. In some ways, it's a lot easier to deal with children instead of grown adults. Garry's smile is relieved.]

Since you're back, you should do something to celebrate with the people you're especially glad to see. Just a small thing, like going to get ice cream or having a sleepover. I'm sure they would be glad to spend time with you.

[ Her mouth drops open at this suggestion. ]

Oh! That sounds like it would be really fun! I should do something like that! But which one? Hmm, maybe both...?

You can definitely do both! I'm sure everyone would be really glad if they got to stay with you, eating a delicious treat. Just make sure you get help if you go get the ice cream, alright? They can be pretty heavy, depending on how many people you invite...

[He's still really worried about a little girl being all on her own..]

Oh! That's true! I bet I can find someone to help. People like lots of ice cream, right?

[ Nanako is rarely lacking willing helpers, after all. ]

Do you wanna come over for ice cream, too?

That's right. And you can have so many options to choose from.

[That's the nice thing about desserts. People really do go above and beyond in figuring out all the different ways to mix in different flavors into them, whether they're cake or ice cream or candy.]

Oh, would that be alright...? I wouldn't want to intrude.

[He's not a super close friend, he thinks... so he doesn't want to get in the way of anyone else there. But, then, maybe that's just how she is. Children are so friendly when they try.]

You're not intruding, silly!

[ She beams at him. ]

We're friends now too, right? And it was your really good idea!

[Kids... are so darn sweet. Garry feels his heart swell, even as he smiles back. Well, then, it's not like he can refuse now, can he?]
