Is anybody else still thinking about what happened with that school? I never did manage to dig up much information about that new principal, and we defeated the ayakashi, but still....

Did anyone figure out where he was from? Or what he was really doing?

That seemed like some high-level magic for a public school administrator to be throwing around.

No, I have not seen any masks. Is there a reason for those questions? Maybe the masks signify something.

From what they were saying, I think masks are a sign that the ayakashi's being controlled by a sorcerer.

Jello can't wear a mask. It has consistency of thick liquid, trying to put a mask on it, would just make said mask sink inside.

Yeah, but it was possessed by an ayakashi. Jello doesn't bounce in giant acid spitting cubes, either.

I wonder if we would've seen a mask if we could've followed all those cords back, though.

That's a possibility. But the one who orchestrated it was smart enough to keep the exits barred.

I still wonder whether the teachers were removed first on purpose to make students more vulnerable? But how could their presence or lack of it affect anything, really? They would be just as susceptible for that drain spell as any other residents of the Near Shore.

Maybe they started to suspect something?

Or maybe the spell needed children's lives to work, not adults, so the sorcerer needed to get the teachers out of the way first or they'd screw up the magic.

Yeah, absolutely. Especially if he was using the energy for some kind of sacrifice.

I mean, I'm not a demon expert or anything, but I know some of them prefer innocent souls, for instance.
