My new shinki woke up grumpy this morning. He may also be planning on sneaking in where he shouldn't be. I'm both apologizing in advance, and sharing an image of his current appearance just in case:

He likes dried fish, large pillows, and ear scratches. Be wary of touching his tail or his belly, and especially do not offend him by claiming that he is an inferior creature. I will not be held responsible for the damages he will cause.

[ Communication? Knowledge? That sort of suggests that-- ]
Your shinki is a talking cat?

You never heard of that before?

I was initially surprised because I thought you shinki was just a cat. If he's more than that it makes sense.

What kind of myths have you heard about cats?

Back in the day, it was customary to leave a saucer of milk on Samhain. If a Cat-Sith drank it, that household would be blessed for the rest of the year. But if you were stingy and didn't bother with that, they could curse your cows so their milk runs dry.

[ Mainly because none of the members of those Tribes have shown up. ]
I have heard of cats who become spirits after they die from old age. Some households are protected by them but they are also mischievous as well.
