My new shinki woke up grumpy this morning. He may also be planning on sneaking in where he shouldn't be. I'm both apologizing in advance, and sharing an image of his current appearance just in case:



He likes dried fish, large pillows, and ear scratches. Be wary of touching his tail or his belly, and especially do not offend him by claiming that he is an inferior creature. I will not be held responsible for the damages he will cause.

He is from the Cat Tribe of the Yashouren people, so yes. He can also shift into a human when he needs to.

I'm fine. Da Qing was more Yunlan's cat than mine even if he doesn't remember.

I'm not sure. I do know that he acts like a cat no matter what form he is in.

No, they haven't. I'm a little leery about when they do.

Is this a warning to keep him away from seafood and poultry?

The both of them shinki aside, is there a possibility for a disaster people should be aware of? I didn't get much of a sense of who Da Qing was beyond a cat.

He will probably eat anything you can give him, but fish is his favorite. It can be useful to keep him out of trouble.

I'm not sure what you mean. Them together being a terrible thing? Da Qing is mostly like a cat, but he is also like Yunlan in that he has his moments of mischief and intelligence. I think that Yunlan is the more responsible one of the two.

That answers my question, actually. I was wondering if the Far Shore would have to prepare for some playful antics or other kinds of mischief.

I suppose it's only a matter of time until they meet.

Hopefully they won't cause too much trouble in the near future. At least, none that would require intervention.

Yes. The relationship between Yunlan and myself is still early, but I'm expecting him to start showing up whenever he wants.

[ And this is when Shen Wei realizes he just told someone that may not know that they hooked up again that they hooked up. Cue a moment of his ears turning red and internal groaning before he manages to add - ]

[Well. Well. Well. Ginia knew Zhao set up a blind date on Valentine's Day and it looks like it paid off. But there's no need for him to know that.]

I'm happy for you two, truly. How did it happen?

[ Shen Wei is so very weak when it comes to Yunlan. As much as he wants to stay away from him and keep him safe, he couldn't. And if he had his pendant still, he would be holding onto it like it was the only thing keeping him sane right now. ]

I was set up for a couple blind dates, and he was one of them. We were on this boat ride, and one thing lead to another.

[From her conversation with Zhao, he's just as weak for him. So it all works out. There's only joy to be had.

Though "one thing lead to another" huh? She'll have to tease Zhao about that later. She hardly knows Shen Wei enough to tease him.]

I'm sure Minako will be happy to know a success story came out of the dates.

That's great though. Hey, if you ever need some nice date locations, feel free to ask. I have connections in the tourism department and can get you anywhere you two want to go.

[ It was a strange instant attraction between them, even when they first met - in the middle of a war for Shen Wei, and the middle of an investigation for Zhao Yunlan. They just gravitate to each other and that was one of the most comforting things Shen Wei had ever thought. ]

I'm horrible about dating rituals if I'm to be honest. Is there something special about dating locations?

I think any specialness comes through what you two make of it. Places to eat at, scenic getaways, I can suggest a lot depending on what you two are interested in or want to do.

I wouldn't give her any beyond that we are dating now.

[ And if his ears were not red before, they certainly are now. Since technically they are more liked married couple on the level of how much they act around each other. Although Yunlan is still a huge flirt. That will never change. ]

I see. I often thought all things with him was special.
