[ First there's a mess of blonde hair, as if someone turned the camera on a little too quickly and excitedly before being fully ready, but then Minako's face - with a big smile - fully appears. ]

So, everyone.. Valentine's Day is coming up, and you all know what that means! [ She moves her eyebrows up and down a few times. ] Of course I'm sure some of you already have found that special someone to spend that special day with, but there must be some people who are still worried about what they'll do on that day!

Well, if you're one of those people, then have no fear! You don't have to spend all day feeling down when you can instead dedicate it to finding the love of your life! That's what I'm here to help you with this year. You see, you can sign up for having one or more quick blind dates on Valentine's Day. Just leave me a comment here if you're interested, and tell me if you're interested in one date, or two, or three, or.. well, maybe someone will set the record for most blind dates in one day?

[ She laughs. ]

Anyway, once you've done that, people will randomly get assigned together and you'll be told the location of your date or dates on Valentine's Day itself! It's that simple!

And maybe by now you're thinking, "aw geez, Minako, I know you're a totally cute and super capable girl, but how could even you do all of that all by yourself?!" Never fear once more, since I have a super great partner in all of this who will tell you some more about this great opportunity!

[ Minako seems to reach for something off camera, muttering a few things under her breath at whatever is there, and then Chikusa is dragged onto the video. Not entirely willingly, from the looks of it. ]

[In fact, Chikusa definitely isn't willing, as is obvious by the fact that he is aggressively not making eye contact with the camera. After a few moments, perhaps giving into the oppressive sparkling atmosphere which is around Minako, he grits out a sigh.]

...No more than three dates.

[They have not planned for more than three. He refuses to do more work.]

Also... we need some people willing to clean up ayakashi on that day, too. There's a variant which seems to be getting worked up about this holiday.... So we need cleaners. Tell us if you're interested....

[After a second, he weakly tries to pull out of Minako's grip not too unlike a cat.]

[ Minako doesn't seem like she'll let go just yet, which means there's a lame and weak tug of war happening on camera right now as Minako tries to maintain her near sparkly smile. ]

Yes, let us know! Now how do I..

[ She reaches over to the camera - thankfully letting go of Chikusa - and manages to shut the feed off after a moment or two. ]

Huh, "help out"? He's practically the one who thought it up!

[ That's a half-truth, since it's more just Minako running wild with something he said.. But in Minako's ridiculous rose-filter mind, it's totally true. ]

I'm just the angel of love lending my amazing personality and cheer for it!

[It isn't that Chikusa had missed that name flashing across the screen as he'd kept track of how the announcement had been taken... But he'd been trying to ignore it. However, if Minako is answering...]

[He leans in her direction.]

That's the guy.

[ Still way off into her own inner happy lala land to consider this too deeply-- ]

Huh, who? Your boyfriend?

[kokuyoyo]

[Minako gets the pleasure of seeing Chikusa actually make an Expression (tm)- in this case, his nose scrunching up in distaste.]

Ew.

[All he needs to say.]

The other guy. That my god used to date.

[He still has no idea if they're actually dating right now. Hell, Hakkai and Gojyo might not. It's a huge pain in the ass.]

[ At least the fact that Chikusa made a Face at that for once makes more sense when he tells her who it is. The realisation dawns on Minako so much that it's even obvious on her face, letting out an "oooh" kind of sound. ]

So should we try to keep him outside of all of this? You know, so no poor people get stuck with him!

[kokuyoyo]

...No.... I told Hakkai that I wouldn't pick fights with him.... or talk with him at all.

[One of the reasons that Chikusa himself hasn't responded to him, frankly. His chin tilts in a little towards his chest.]

...I don't want him to call Hakkai and say I'm starting anything if I refuse him.

Geez.. Why would you get blamed if he's making fun of you? That's so unfair!

[ Although clearly Minako has no idea that this is definitely a two-sided thing between Chikusa and Gojyo.. But she's puffing up with indignance anyway. ]

Don't worry, I'll take care of this!

[kokuyoyo]

More like Gojyo is the one who tattles...

[Chikusa never does. He just cleans up the body like a responsible person- wait]

Besides, if I talk with him... It'll definitely be an argument. [He leans over her shoulder just to see what she might type.] Hakkai says Gojyo only does it with me as a proxy for Hakkai, or whatever.

Anyway... Goku asked him. And I did make a deal. [Bribe. Same difference.]

[ He's already been asked?! She feels kind of bad for whoever is going to end up stuck with him on a date, but if Chikusa says they can't get out of that deal, she's just going to have to live with it.

Not that it means she gets any less pouty. ]

If he has to participate, then.. fine! But I can't just let him make fun of you and not say anything about it, right? We're friends! Friends stick up for each other. That's the first rule of friendship!

[kokuyoyo]

Ah...

[This is... sure a weird feeling. Chikusa doesn't know how to handle it, shifting in place for lack of anything else to say. When it comes to things between him and Gojyo, he's gotten used to people... Well. He's not sure he can call it 'siding with'. Hakkai and Goku both seem to call him out, as far as Chikusa can tell. It's just... They always seem to give him the benefit of the doubt. Even if, in his opinion, Gojyo doesn't deserve it.]

[So it's... nice? It might be nice, that someone is firmly on his side. Ken counts, of course, but of course Ken counts. Ken is different.]

[Staying where he is, he just continues to read over Minako's shoulder.]

...Anyway. If he gets someone, maybe he'll fall for them instead. He sure doesn't seem to like Hakkai half the time anyway...

[Or Chikusa can hook him up with another asshole. He has options.]

[ Minako seems to consider what he's saying before letting out a long breath. ]

You're right, that'd at least be one good thing. Then he shouldn't have any reason to harass you anymore either. [ Because people insulting her friends isn't something Minako is planning on letting happen. ] I'll just have to make sure he's treating whoever he's on a date with on that day nicely. Thankfully I have my ways.

[ Minako Aino: master stalker. ]

I'm sure you do.

[It's going to be a mess, he can already tell. This is the girl who walked backwards to him when passing him by, and didn't know how to whisper. Well, she can do whatever she likes.]

...You know, the last time I said things about him, even he admitted they were all true. So...

Well, at least he's self aware then!

[ Because she already believed Chikusa was right about him - unconditional trust in friends! So she didn't even need to hear that to know as much. ]

Not that it excuses his behaviour though. Wouldn't anyone work on something that's bad about yourself if you know it's bad? Especially if it ends up hurting other people like your god!

[erogappa]

No way! That guy? I don't believe it! Since when is he interested in things like this?

[reloves]

[ After having been pulled aside by Chikusa to hear that first part-- ]

Hey, aren't you being mean to him? Isn't he free to be interested in whatever he wants?

[erogappa]

[ Ah. From friendly to immediately unfriendly: she's finally talked to Chikusa about him, hasn't she? ]

I should confess it now, a good half of whatever he's told you about me is true.

[reloves]

It seems like more than just half right about now!! He's really trying his best for this and putting in a lot of effort, shouldn't you respect that instead of making fun of it?

[erogappa]

[ Chikusa? Putting in effort? ...For something romantic?!

Then it hits him: it's got to be about Ken. That's the only romantic thing Gojyo can imagine Chikusa giving a shit about. He's doing this, somehow, for some reason, because of Ken.

You know? That's almost sweet. Weirdly elaborate and unnecessarily public, but sweet. ]

Maybe you're right! If he's decided that romance is his thing, who am I to laugh? Whatever he's doing here, I hope it works out for him.

[ Minako is just about ready to rant on.

But then she reads the reply. And reads it again. And again. Just.. staring at her phone, looking kind of baffled. Good job on subverting her expectations there, Gojyo. ]

Wait, you mean that? That's oddly respectful!

[ DON'T SAY "ODDLY", MINAKO. ]

I did say that HALF of what he had said about me was probably true. The other half is him making things up because he doesn't like me.

[reloves]

[ She squints, still not sure whether to believe that since Minako is most definitely biased here. But she at least won't press it since Gojyo actually bothered to say something nice-ish. ]

Hey, if you're going to go on a blind date with someone though, you better be nice to them! Make them happy! Valentine's Day is a special, sacred day!

[erogappa]

[ Huh. He was expecting her to tell him he wasn't invited! How about that. ]

Then I guess you'd better set me up with somebody who won't take any crap.

[reloves]

Or maybe I'll just keep an eye on you during your date!

[ Which would actually not even be a weird thing to do by Minako standards.. ]

You'll never know, but I'll be there watching when you least expect it!

If the price of going on this date is being spied on by somebody underage, I think I'll pass, thanks.
