So, did anyone else run into the kid god on the volcano? I hear the Heavens have been claiming he was defeated, but me and a few others were there for that and "defeat" isn't the word I would have used. It looked a lot more like he sealed himself away or escaped.

We need to be prepared for the possibility of him coming back, but if anyone actually got him to talk instead of just retaliating, it'd be useful to have that information to work with. I get the impression nobody told him what he was going to be dealing with, but he definitely thinks us and the old gods are one and the same, so he's going to need convincing if any of you decided there was a misunderstanding.

[Or, as he doesn't really want to put it in case the Heavens are overseeing the conversation, in case anyone decided they want to protect him. Shun's been meaning to do this for a few days, but he's been given even more reason to be focusing on work in the last two, so why not use this to take his mind off things a bit.]

That was my thought.

A few of Amaterasu's shinki had him cornered on the lip of the volcano. He attacked, me and a small group of others drove him further into a corner and retaliated when he attacked us as well - he looked like he was mostly trying to drive us off before that, but he started attacking to kill once we fired back at him. I chased him along the rim of the volcano, and rather than let me catch him when he was well and truly cornered, he leapt into it.

[Goku may be used to "attacking to kill" being a form of self defence. Also sounds like Amaterasu's shinki were already well into things by the time Shun and the others showed up. Hm.]

did he say anything?

Exactly like that. But it's not an excuse.

Only that he wouldn't let us win because "we're with them". So he doesn't seem to see a difference between newcomers and old gods.

Sounds like someone who'd benefit most from having all of us out of the way. Might be who we've been dealing with controlling the cultists as well.

[And it definitely sounds like whoever's been orchestrating Votelli, even if she seems to have been told less.]

Did he give you his name, or say who told him that?

He was probably told not to. [Based on what he remembers with Votelli's reluctance to talk about Sensei.]

That sounds familiar. And a lot like that "Sensei" guy from the forest attack.

[He's trying not to publicly mention Votelli by name since he knows a few people have differing opinions on how to handle her, so he's focusing on the Sensei part of it instead.]

[ Goku's main concern about talking about Votelli was that she made him promise not to- Sotero made no such requests and frankly seemed to give zero shits. Goku can respect that. Besides, Shun's cool. ]

If he wasn't under orders to make the volcano erupt, then that's not exactly in support of the idea that anyone's going to be able to sway him to our point of view.

[Shun might be generally fairly reasonable about these matters, but he's also realistic.]
