So, did anyone else run into the kid god on the volcano? I hear the Heavens have been claiming he was defeated, but me and a few others were there for that and "defeat" isn't the word I would have used. It looked a lot more like he sealed himself away or escaped.

We need to be prepared for the possibility of him coming back, but if anyone actually got him to talk instead of just retaliating, it'd be useful to have that information to work with. I get the impression nobody told him what he was going to be dealing with, but he definitely thinks us and the old gods are one and the same, so he's going to need convincing if any of you decided there was a misunderstanding.

[Or, as he doesn't really want to put it in case the Heavens are overseeing the conversation, in case anyone decided they want to protect him. Shun's been meaning to do this for a few days, but he's been given even more reason to be focusing on work in the last two, so why not use this to take his mind off things a bit.]

He insisted he did nothing of the sort and that we all are merely looking for a scapegoat, but he did admit at least to being in attendance. He also implied that had been the only time he had come to the Heavens outside of the recent volcano incident.

Sounds like defensiveness to me. He fits what I remember of the culprit in terms of age and size, but obviously we can't be sure without having seen his face. And only having been to the Heavens once during a party would explain why he underestimated the retaliation.

We can't write off the possibility that there's more of these kid gods, though, considering Votelli.

Indeed, the question then becomes whether that chaos was sown on purpose, or if it was all an extremely unfortunate accident. He did not appear to know what happened or why, and insisted such with a conviction that suggested to me that if he did cause it, he was not aware of it. It may be that, being a young god with little in the way of proper guidance, he does not even know that he possesses that power in the first place.

But yes, regardless, I imagine the chance that there are more among their number is certainly greater than the chance that they are the only ones. We may have to be prepared to face a whole pantheon of child gods, if the apparent goals of this cult are to be believed.

Could've been both. If someone's orchestrating this, then they might have told him to attend and mingle with us and gave him some means of spreading that curse without him knowing about it.

[Shun's not inclined to think total innocence, honestly, but there is the possibility he was misguided into it.]

The quicker we can find the one in charge of all this, the better. It seems like things are escalating quickly.

[Votelli and Sotero's attacks weren't exactly far apart. If there's more of these gods, they can probably expect further attacks in the next month or two.]

Also a valid theory. It is unfortunate that we cannot prove anything one way or another until we have found the one in charge.

On that note, did Ginia contact you about some "surveillance footage" she had found?

[At this point, that seems like their best chance of getting a glimpse of "Sensei".]

She did. I'm still going through the part of it she gave me.

[Some of it might've ended up handed off to his followers...but that might've been Kotori's doing rather than his, considering Shun's intent to do everything himself despite the impossibility of doing that with weeks worth of security footage.]
