so
its been like a week since new year
and i havent seen anyone posting about new years resolutions yet
you know
those promises you make to yourself at the start of the year that youre definitely going to hold to
and then a week later youre lying on your bed eating chips and soda again because you almost definitely promised yourself you were going to work out more and then didnt
is that not a tradition here

if it is then tell me about your resolutions that are totally going to happen
since were past the one week honeymoon period
maybe i can give you advice on how to stick to them
or if you pay me i can be your personal resolution trainer
with motivational 80s music montages and everything
for like a month since if you can't keep it yourself past then youre fucked anyway
but you can always say you tried
even if i did most of the trying for you

anyway
resolutions
go

Now I get why my god is getting so many prayers about working out and diets.

Those will last barely a week and then nothing will change for anyone.

So everyone gives up again and nothing matters.

[ At first she just laughs to herself as she imagines all of that text in Davesprite's tell-tale tone of voice. ]

You're right, I'd like to make a resolution I can keep. I'd completely forgotten about that tradition, but it makes sense! And it makes sense how hard they are to keep if they're really hard changes quickly. I had to work my way up from jogging just once a week in the mornings to as often as I do now.

I don't know if I'd call them idiots, but praying for a six pack is kinda unfesible? It's not like we can gift that? At least the people praying for support and courage seem reasonable.

But there are some great drawings on the emas, I'll give them that.

[One google search later... Well.]

Yeah bara is the right term. Some of them at least. Others are more chibi.

There's one that's a really buff wolf? Werewolf or something?

No idea about this resolution thing, but I've at least done my research enough to know that 80s music was mighty.
pure_radiantics: (convo] huh... let me think about that.)

Hmm.... I could always resolve to check my phone more often. I might have missed you writing about this, which has happened a couple of times lately. That or taking more pictures for my instagram - I had a lot of fun doing that.

Furries?

I figured it had to do with my god being the "Hound of Ulster." We get a lot of dog or wolf drawings on the emas in general.

[This feels like a trap. It's probably a trap. But after looking up bara and traversing the internet in general, one safe-search on search later...]

Oh that's not bad. Some of the designs are cute?

Stylistic, symbolic thing. It's one of his titles.

That's something that people actually do?

By the way what is that thing, the, "motivational 80s music montages" thing?

Noted.

Outside of that big meeting with all the gods, yeah. Seems like most everyone here confirms to something fairly human.

I feel like the latter is harder to find among shinki only since we can't remember our past and thinking on it too much is trouble.

Unless you're one of the lucky few with memories. Then it's great but also sucks?
pure_radiantics: (convo] excuse you!)

Not talking about crashing and burning is right! I'm trying to think of something achievable - and besides, there's plenty of life-changing things that I do already and I just want to remember them better, which is why I thought of the photos.

[ That said, she's still thinking of something else. ]

Okay, sure. Sounds ridiculous.

I don't understand what this is supposed to be. What's the second bit with the face? Why is he hitting the dead animal? Is he tenderizing it? He doesn't look like he's going to be that capable of killing anyone. What's with the thing in front of the building? Why does it suddenly get weird speed? I was told it was dangerous to run in the middle or roads, is he stupid? Why are the people cheering and running after him and all the cheering after that? Why are they jumping and hugging in the water? There are some really strange contraptions in there. And some weak looking helmets. Why are they sticking him with a weird needle? Seriously why is he running in the middle of the road?Is this whole movie about running? Did he actually drink eggs? g and stuff? Why the chains? Does he want to get his palms pinched between the links? Nice thighs and muscles though.

What's wrong with their faces? And bodies? That's a really strange song. Stupid helmet, it's gonna get him killed. What's up with the sparks? Is that puppets? They're super creepy.
