Does anyone know what the best way to get a gun would be? I suppose I could simply steal one from the Near Shore, but it doesn't seem right.

If anyone is willing and able to provide a gun, I can pay you in good fortune of some sort; I have some control over that as a god. I don't really have much money here in the Far Shore, even if I was rich while I was alive...

That requires money, which I don't really have...my money was left back in the Japan of my own world, and I don't really have any now. If I did, I'd have to get it converted...besides, assuming I could hold the attention of any mortals long enough, isn't ID required for buying guns? Obviously I don't have any ID that would be considered valid...

It's a shame. Amaterasu's shinki provide us with weapons for training quite regularly, but I've never seen them offer firearms. And really, not everyone's cut out for physical combat with more traditional weapons...

You're a god, right? Don't you get money through your followers?

You could always get ID made for you. Or looking for a gun show and grabbing a weapon and leaving money.

I've seen paintball or airsoft guns at Amaterasu's training sessions, though they don't have as many as other weapons and certainly no live firearms.

I'm not exactly a god with many followers...I doubt I have enough money to afford a gun.

Getting a fake ID for the purposes of tricking mortals into selling a gun to a god really does seem needlessly complicated...I'd prefer not to just steal a gun when I could potentially barter for one, but it'd make more sense than doing all that.

Does it have to be a gun? If you're looking for options to defend yourself that aren't heavily physical, would something like pepper spray or a stun gun work? You'd still need money or strike a deal, but they are easier to get.

I don't think they really have a comparable amount of stopping power. And while a gun wouldn't be too effective against an ayakashi, I doubt those things would be effective at all against them, so they'd be of much more limited utility.

I've been curious about the effectiveness of bullets on ayakashi. I imagine something like a shotgun full of buckshot would be more effective than something like a 9mm, but I don't have an easy way to test that.
