A haunted house is a house that is haunted by ghosts or other spirits. Alternatively, it's an attraction where people go to get scared or surprised by horror-themed things in the dark.

I guess. Particularly at amusement parks. Maybe at fairs or festivals. Unfortunately I'm not that familiar with how common they are here but that's probably your safest bet.
