[ He hunkers down to run some searches and track leads to their originating source and... Oh. That didn't take long. Honestly, he wonders about people. Nagi never uses his real name online. Maybe people these days are more lax about this sort of thing. He knows with the proliferation of social media, people have just gotten used to putting their information out there for everyone to gawk at. Nagi doesn't understand. ]

I've been trying to gather information.

[ Not all that successfully, yet. It's a little vexing. ]

And I was in the cafeteria when the ayakashi broke in. I got out okay, though.

In the principal's office. We also all managed to survive in good shape.

Is there anything in particular you're looking for? I've spoken to a few of the original gods and shinki here, and if it's a question about how things work I might be able to help you.

It's hard to speak in particulars when there's a lot I still don't know. I'm just trying to figure out as much as I can about our ... condition.

Whatever information you have would be helpful.

Well... let's see.

Normal shinki are created by gods deliberately offering names to wayward souls. No shinki ever has any memory of their time among the living, so that's nothing to do with our unusual condition. Apart from how we came here, the other unusual thing about us is that if we're injured to the point of death, we seem to return. Normal shinki do not.

I've heard about returning shinki. And how one actually came back as a god. Apparently this was somewhat alarming.

[ According to Yukine, anyway. Who says he's one of the older shinki. Nagi is inclined to believe him. ]

Do you know where the real gods can be found? Amaterasu, and others like her.

Hisoka. Yes. That's far from normal, but with the new gods being created the way there are, it may be just as normal for them.

You can contact Amaterasu through her shinki, but she doesn't always respond. I suppose that ruling the Heavens is a time-consuming task.

[ Hmph. Time consuming. That's one way to put it. There might be some bitterness detected in Nagi's typing. ]

I guess that's why she has to delegate so much.
