Is it normal for people to stay asleep for some days straight in this place? Because it's been about a few days since Ginger collapsed asleep and it's pretty freaky.

I tried searching, but it doesn't actually yield any results. So it seems to be a 'heaven' thing.

[Ayumu really couldn't have predicted this conversation turning out this way but she doesn't mind. Chatting with someone so brash and direct is kind of refreshing. It's one of the things she likes about Gojyo, too. What this Judar fellow is proposing sounds straightforward and simple, especially after dealing with other parties in her life that will remain nameless, and there's a certain level of appeal in that.

She's not completely sold on it, however.]

You can find out when he's awake. We'll swap notes or something.

Lots of kinds of magic. I've already filled out a few books of them. Some I'm saving for my god's use first, and I'm only bothering to practice the cooler ones first, like black lightning and raining ice spears.

[Well, this is an interesting conversation to have with someone sleeping with a close friend. But this Judar fellow seems earnest enough about it.]

[She's been a bit too preoccupied to study magic since her arrival. Really, she should get on that. She does have a new goddess to protect.]

It's pretty easy to make the opportunity. I just brought it up and we figured a day out at his place.

[ One would say he's full of shit, but being confident and up front about it seems to have an okay track record. At least it will be when Lavi's conscious and able to confirm this as fact. ]

Something else. It'll give you an idea of what I can offer to do. With shinki magic I'm still learning Bind.

[This is a bit more than Ayumu needs or really wants to know about the specifics of Judar's encounter with Lavi but she just lets it go. There's a part of her that shies away from the prospect of inhibiting someone with such a loose tongue. Selfish as it is, it's always useful to build rapport with those willing to speak so freely about their exploits.]

i've just practiced borderlines

[ Yes. He's definitely loose about discussing particular things. Things that don't affect many others and color his reputation in a specific direction. Which she'll get to notice over time. ]

Thanks to some asshole attacking and using one of those spells, I decided to focus on figuring that out alongside everything else.
My borderlines are fine, but I've also already got a magic shield. So it's not as big of a deal to me.

do you know who they were?
a magic shield sounds very useful.

[If a shinki's attacking others with spells, it's certainly something worth knowing more about. She is involved with a sanctuary for shinki, after all. No one's staying there yet but it's best to learn of anyone potentially dangerous ahead of time.]

Just some brat that doesn't know how to stand straight and wears really dumb hats. Everyone's got a hobby, and now he's given me one aside from everything else I'm working on.
And yeah. It's good for magic and physical stuff coming at me.

[ Ayumu may not have to worry too much about the shinki that's attacking others. It's either that or she knows exactly how much she should be worrying. One or the other. ]

his taste in hats is rather unique.
that's good to know.

[This fellow doesn't seem too bothered by Chikusa, at least, when compared to that Add boy and his shenanigans. For now anyway. What he says about how he uses that magic shield interests her though, enough to file way that tidbit of information for later.]

how strong is it?
does it take long to make or is it hard to maintain?

Well those hats aren't going to last very long soon enough.

[ Once he gets the hang of the second part of his plans. Then only little kids or animals will be able to wear those hats. ]

Stronger than it was when I first got here. It probably won't even break from one of those brats borderlines anymore.
Not hard at all. It's kind of natural to put up and maintain.
