Has anyone seen the shinki Bakugou Katsuki? His shinki name is Shouki (勝), and He was here until about two days ago, and it's not like him to disappear without saying anything. I called him Kacchan, but he'd probably shout if anybody else used it.
Please let me know if you've seen him.
Thank you.
[Action]
[As soon as that post is up, Izuku can be found out on the city streets trying to figure out where his childhood friend went.
He died. There's no way that he went home- if he did then... then there's nothing waiting for him there. Izuku is understandably worried and chewing at his thumbnail as he considers where he could have gone off to.
Due to his distraction, he has no clue about the huge salamander-like ayakashi who's following after him and mumbling about how good he smells.]

Huh? Oh. Axel?
[He does look over and wave.]
no subject
[Axel's breaking into an easy jog, dodging the other people on the crowded sidewalk. He tosses nervous glances at the salamander ayakashi as he goes. It's big, and it's slinking towards Deku, and that's a bad combination for a guy who looks like he's out here alone.]
Where's your shinki?
no subject
That's definitely an ayakashi floating above them isn't it?]
Kido's at home, I didn't think anything would happen.
[Shit.]
no subject
[It doesn't look like a couple pebbles on fire will make much difference against this thing, no matter how hard Axel throws them. And punching an ayakashi is a great way to blight off a finger or two.
He scowls as he skids to a stop next to Deku. The salamander is curling towards them, fleshy purple toes sliding down through the evening air as if it were a glass sheet.]
Looks like it's time to book it.
[Where is the nearest shrine, anyway? Maybe Axel should've spent more time practicing his borderlines, but he still can't hold them for more than a few seconds at best. It's basically worthless for holding off an ayakashi.]
no subject
I can make it across blocks in a couple of seconds. [He'll grab his arm for a second, sharing One for All between them.]
Let's go.
[He wasn't kidding, the kid is fast with his powers active, and Axel's free to tap into it just as well.
The nearest shrine is the way the salamander came from, but if the run, they're bound to find another.]
no subject
Great, but -- where are we -- going?
[Phew. He might be faster and stronger, but he's still pretty sure he's going to be feeling this mad dash in the morning. He glances back over his shoulder, and -- shit.]
It's gaining!
[How, Axel's not sure, but when they broke into a run the salamander speeded up too. Its gelatinous legs are a blur as it leaps from building face to street to lamppost in pursuit.]
no subject
I'm pretty sure there's a shrine to Amaterasu up ahead.
[He grits his teeth as he glares at the salamander.]
We-We're gonna have to fight it.
no subject
[Axel skids to a stop, fire already building up around both of his hands as he scowls at the salamander leaping after them.]
You're gonna have to name me! We can't take it out otherwise!
no subject
What does he think of when he thinks of Axel? Fire, fighting, a partner.
Warmth 暖.
He writes it onto the air, letting it hang for a moment before it presses onto Axel's right hip.]
Danki!
no subject
Go for it! We can take this thing.
[He doesn't know what this form can do: it's new and strange, but as far as Axel's concerned, as long as he's got at least one sharp and pointy bit, the objective is clear. You make sure that part gets up close and personal with the enemy.]
no subject
It's... not what he's used to, but he can work with this. He'll throw Axel's blade at the salamander ayakashi- it embeds into the thing's 'flesh' and he'll start pulling.]
Think it's working?
no subject
[Axel feels the edge of his whip bite deep into the creature's flesh, and it roars, lashing sideways. Its teeth grind together on the metal of the chain, and he laughs silently.]
Ha, keep trying, lizard! Come on, Deku. Give that thing another shot.
no subject
He might have his physical abilities enhanced, but it doesn't do anything about his lack of skill with weaponry.]
Sorry, I'm not used to weapons.
[But it only takes him another moment to recover and swing the blade back at the salamander, slowly getting used to the heft and weight of the chain and blade, and managing to pierce the ayakashi's skin.]
no subject
[How, he's not sure. It's not as if he can just yank the hilt of the chain out of Deku's hands and go trailing around on his own. As Deku throws him this time, he tries to reach out, and radiates startlement as his chain lengthens and whips out to wind around the ayakashi's body as the blade bites into its flesh.]
Uh, okay, I think I've got it.
no subject
He's pretty sure that's weird, at least.]
What was that?
no subject
[It's not a bad power. The ayakashi is struggling against his chain, but Axel can feel it staying secure. For now.]
I think I can drag it over here if you want.
no subject
Pull it over and we'll destroy it.
[They'll just need to rend it into pieces, right?]
no subject
[Axel's chain rattles loudly and draws tight, straining against the ayakashi's flesh and pulling it forcibly down from its perch on the lamppost. The metal of the lamppost bends with a screech that has heads turning up and down the street, and Axel grits his teeth.
Or does something that kind of feels, to him, like gritting his teeth. Insubstantially. The salamander's grip on the lamppost weakens and it hits the ground with a massive, wet thwack!]
no subject
Done.
Thank you, Axel.
no subject
[The chain coils down from the handle, and Axel shivers the last bits of ayakashi goop off his links. Yeah, Deku's a good partner, he thinks. He'd guessed that back when they'd first met, fighting those weird patterned ayakashi, but it's nice to have it confirmed.]
Think there's any more out there?
no subject
[It's easy working with Axel- but he usually has a relatively easy time working with most people. It only makes sense that it would extend to shinki partnerships as well.
He pauses and considers it.]
I don't think there's anything as big, but there are always plenty of smaller ayakashi around. Do you have anywhere to be?
no subject
[And if they're going to be working together, it's better for Deku to have some practice. He considers the boy. Determined, powerful, stubborn, generous: he's a good kid. He'll be a decent god to have.]
By the way, ground rules. You need me, call. If I'm not busy with something else, I'll come. I might be, though, so don't wait until the last minute, got it?
no subject
[He's been a hand to hand fighter for as long as he's trained, really. Weaponry is strange for him. So it's probably going to take a bit before he's really comfortable swinging one around.]
I'll keep that in mind. I'd like to meet your God sometime though. Just so we all know what's happened.
no subject
[There you go, Deku. Nice and blunt. He's not just your nora here.
He considers the street around them. Nothing visible.]
Try that building to the left.
[It looked big, business-y and generally like the kind of place that might bring in plenty of bad feelings. Or maybe that was just how Axel felt about business.]
no subject
All of them.
[He'll follow the advice and step into the building, scanning it for any ayakashi.]
Feel anything?
