Has anyone seen the shinki Bakugou Katsuki? His shinki name is Shouki (勝), and He was here until about two days ago, and it's not like him to disappear without saying anything. I called him Kacchan, but he'd probably shout if anybody else used it.

Please let me know if you've seen him.

[As soon as that post is up, Izuku can be found out on the city streets trying to figure out where his childhood friend went.

He died. There's no way that he went home- if he did then... then there's nothing waiting for him there. Izuku is understandably worried and chewing at his thumbnail as he considers where he could have gone off to.

Due to his distraction, he has no clue about the huge salamander-like ayakashi who's following after him and mumbling about how good he smells.]

No place in particular. Want to go get some of the tricky bits worked out? This is a weird weapon.

[And if they're going to be working together, it's better for Deku to have some practice. He considers the boy. Determined, powerful, stubborn, generous: he's a good kid. He'll be a decent god to have.]

By the way, ground rules. You need me, call. If I'm not busy with something else, I'll come. I might be, though, so don't wait until the last minute, got it?

Yeah, I'll need some practice using you like this.

[He's been a hand to hand fighter for as long as he's trained, really. Weaponry is strange for him. So it's probably going to take a bit before he's really comfortable swinging one around.]

I'll keep that in mind. I'd like to meet your God sometime though. Just so we all know what's happened.

[There you go, Deku. Nice and blunt. He's not just your nora here.

He considers the street around them. Nothing visible.]

Try that building to the left.

[It looked big, business-y and generally like the kind of place that might bring in plenty of bad feelings. Or maybe that was just how Axel felt about business.]

[Somehow he doesn't feel very surprised.]

All of them.

[He'll follow the advice and step into the building, scanning it for any ayakashi.]

Feel anything?

[All of them? Axel winces, internally. He's really going to have to talk to Pippa about this. Fast. Everybody else's known, since they had to give him the name, anyway. There just hasn't been a great time to talk about it.]

Not yet. I don't seem to get any sense of them when they're around unless I spot them. What about you?

It's the same way for me.

I wonder if anybody has a sensing power.

[He'll start walking around the building, careful not to run into anybody. People might ignore them, but he's still pretty sure they can be felt.]

Sure, there's probably somebody.

[And Axel ought to figure out who it is, so he can drag them along the next time he's out on a monster-finding mission.

Something moves in an upper corner of one of the hallways, and Axel's chain jolts with a clank.]

Hey, over there! Down the hallway on the left!

[He'll run the direction Axel's given him.

It's a long, winding centipede, long enough that it seems to go for an entire meeting room. Deku can't quite repress the shudder and the thought of "Gross".]

Let's get rid of this.

[He gives Axel another twirl before throwing him into the ayakashi's body with enough force to lodge him there.]

[The chain soars neatly toward the centipede thing, but as the blade bites into its body, it lashes around, curling up into a massive coil that sends the chain flying off sideways and crashing through a fluorescent light housing.]

Shit! Sorry.

[No one'll notice, right? That it's suddenly raining fragments of plastic and glass? It's subtle.]

[No. No, people have definitely noticed.

It's very, very hard not to notice something like that. He's fairly certain the officer workers are evacuating the room because of the sudden (to them) hail of danger.]

We're getting used to each other.

Do you think you can wrap around it so we can take it outside?

I can try.

[The blade's still embedded in the ayakashi's body, and so Axel tenses, chain lengthening and whipping out in a loop.]

Give me a swing so I can get a hold on it!

[fullcowl]

Will do.

[He'll yank a bit and swing Axel around, hoping the loop'll catch around the ayakashi.]

Got it?

Got it.

[The chain loop snags around the coiled body of the ayakashi, and Axel immediately shrinks the chain back down, pulling the loop tight fast enough to cut into the creature's body. It falls heavily from the ceiling.]

Let's go!

[fullcowl]

[Izuku yanks it along and starts running for the stairwell. There's a nice open ceiling where they can continue this fight.]

Keep hold until we get out of the building.

You've got it, partner!

[Axel's chain creaks as the ayakashi tries to fight, but its body is wrapped up like a parcel for shipping and it can't do much more than thrash as it bounces along behind them towards the stairwell.]

[Once they're on the roof, he'll give Axel a tug.]

Alright, nothing to break up here. Let it go and let's finish it.

You got it. [Axel's chain loosened with a snakelike hiss, the loop falling free of the centipede ayakashi's body. It lashed, head to tail-tip, sending the embedded blade flying free of its flesh in a trailing stream of purple goo.]

Go for the head! Bet you I can pop it right off!

[It's still gross every time he looks at it. But if they kill it, then hopefully whatever cloud of anxiety or depressions that's hanging around the office building will go away.

He gives Axel another twirl and throws his blade into the ayakashi's head.]

Got it!

[doestheickyjobs]

[The blade bites into the ayakashi's head right between its bulging, bizarrely human-looking eyes, and Axel's chain lengthens wildly to swing around the creature's neck. It lashes, body snapping like a whip across the roof as it tries to fight, and he pulls hastily tight around it. And tighter. Tighter still, until the ayakashi is thrashing helplessly as the chain bites deep into its ectoplasmic flesh.]

I think we're ready to lay this guy to rest.

[fullcowl]

Sounds good to me.

[He'll tug on the chain, tight as it can get- they can squeeze the thing into exploding, can't they?

They can. The ayakashi explodes into a million bits before dispersing.]

There.

You're getting the hang of it!

[And so is Axel, though he's not going to admit he didn't always have the hang of it. Getting used to his new forms is disorienting, every time.

At least this one isn't as weird as the multiple knives. He manages to keep one single point of view.]

Okay. Want to call it a day, or keep looking?

Let's call it a day. Kido's waiting for me at home.

[That'll turn him back, right? That's how it worked for Kacchan and Kido.]

[The chain whip in Deku's hand swirls, becoming insubstantial and reappearing in a flash of light as Axel. He runs a hand absently back along his bangs, making sure they're not too messed up from the experience.

Funny, fighting as a shinki never seems to screw up his hair.]

Got it. So -- hey, nice working with you, Deku.

You still want to talk to my other gods?

[Deku's hair is exactly as messy as it was when they started this outing.]

It seems like we work well together.

I'd like to, if it wouldn't bother you too much.

[He understands if you've got boundaries, but he still wants to know who else he's sort of working with.]

Yeah, well, I guess it's okay. Let me talk them into it, though, okay? Maybe we can all go hang out sometime.

[Deku and Sora ought to get along fine. Ayumu seems okay with kids their age. Pippa? He's got no clue about Pippa. As long as nobody gets crude, though, it'll probably be okay.]
