Where would a shinki go if they wanted different accommodations from what they have now?

To offer some context: my god named me out of convenience. We agreed to work together toward a common goal but that goal has long since passed. We've discussed his releasing me from his service but on the condition I make arrangements for somewhere to stay until my reassignment.

I'm not opposed to doing chores or being sent on errands. I've done those things on occasion. My form has mostly been that of some kind of bladed weapon thus needless to say I can provide you with some sort protection if any of you are in need of one.

Either way, I'd be happy to be pointed in the right direction. Thank you all for your time.

Is that so..?

Some of the dead come back as gods but not all of them remember their time as shinki. I'd like to keep my memories in tact, to be honest.

Unfortunately, that's not really an option. Looks like you'll have to suffer through death or suffer being their shinki.

I'm not suffering under him as you so blatantly put it. He's as decent a god as they come.

I'm not afraid to call your bluff. Shinki don't return from the dead so easily. If they were, this wouldn't be a problem.

The boy I had grown fond of had been killed. He was my current god's shinki and he had been killed. He was just one victim in a string of murders that occurred a while back.

He returned but it was as a god without any memories. He didn't remember who I was nor did he remember his time with his god. So yes, I do indeed know for a fact that when a shinki dies, they don't come back as they are.

Everyone dies. Murder, sickness, whatever. It's not important.

That's just one case. You indeed know for a fact based on one case? Or do you take that one case to attempt to prove your point?

It isn't just one case. I said Rei's murder was one in many. He wasn't the only victim during that spree. They either returned without memories or didn't return at all.

Unless every death causes you to return without memories or not at all, you can't prove that's all it does.
