Yep. Most people just call me Noctis, though.

[ Dweeb. Noctis has a cat of his own at his feet. ]

[ And he looks down, to see the cat. Cat senses. ] And you, too.

[ As for the cat, she gives a tiny meow. ]

Looks like we've got the same kind of problem.

[ With a small laugh, Souji reaches into his pocket and pulls out a little pouch. ]

You should've seen how many I used to have before I managed to find homes for most of them.

[ He holds the pouch up with a little jostle, which sounds suspiciously like... cat treats. ]

[ Immediately, the cat at Noct's feet perks up, ears twitching. ]

Hey, you can never have too many cats.

[ No, that is not, in fact, true. Noctis has so many. ]

Now you've got her attention. She'll never leave you alone.

[ Crouching down, he opens the pouch to fish out a couple of treats, holding them out to her without missing a beat. ]

There were a lot of them, since I was adopting them from the shelters and picking up strays to get them fixed and healthy again. Still plenty of them around, though.

[ He can't help but laugh, though. Souji agrees, even if they're both wrong. ]

That's fine. I'm always happy to make new friends.

[ She comes right on over and mewls her thanks before chowing down. ]

That's a pretty great idea. Mine's just because it's my power as a god.

[ ... but he's pretty sure it'd be the same even if his power were different. Noctis kneels down and pets the cat, who's been purring for about a minute straight. ]

Hey, so am I. Especially if they love cats.

Oh? [ That's got his curiosity, for sure. Souji settles with his weight on his heels, letting the cat eat to her content. ] What power is that? I'm jealous.

[ Souji, no. ]

But if we get to be friends, maybe it'll wear off on me.
