I was curious, apologies if this has been asked before, but what are some hobbies people could pick up?

I'm trying to get used to this world here. I'd like to do something more than train...

[He pauses.]

Except fishing. Fishing I've already gotten a number of lessons on.

Hm. Night would be the best. I think seeing a city at night would be beautiful.

[ He gives Lancer one playful punch on the shoulder ]

[He has to come. Letting out a chuckle, he looked at him.]

I don't think I will. But I'll appreciate the support.

[ Caster just laughs. ] Sure you won't, but the joke was too tempting.

[ It's very unlikely any of them would fall. While for a normal human climbing a tower like this would be a suicide, they both benefit from being something else- even if Diarmuid doesn't know that ]

...Oh! It was a joke! I see I see.

[Lancer will enjoy it. He's quite pleased already that his master wishes to do so many things with him. And he'll enjoy this thing too.]

I get it. Because I'm probably going to have to catch you, yes?

[ The joke gets thrown right back in his face, he should have seen it coming ]

What, me? Never! I'm not. I'm an expert at climbing, falling is never going to happen. [ Not that he can be sure about it, because accidents happen.. but he has to boast. The confidence is honest, even if it's still said in jest. ]

Are you sure, Mister Caster? I wouldn't want you to get hurt.

[Did you think Diarmuid was completely respectful? Sure, he could be. He did want nothing more than to support Caster, but he also knew that the man could handle a few jokes.]

Ever so diligent! I truly can rest at ease with someone like you having my back. [ He might be using a teasing tone, but that's also the truth. Lancer was doing constantly proving that. ]

Is that not what a shinki should do? [He let out a laugh. But he's excited to show him more of what he can do.]

Not necessarily? Shinki are not guardians- [ -but weapons, tools. That's different. It is a partnership, but it doesn't make them bodyguards ]

-well, perhaps some are. [ If your vessel form is a shield, or armor that's it. ]

I still want to defend you whenever I can.

[He gives a small nod.]

I promise that I will protect you until the end.

Man, it does feel weird having those words thrown back at me. [ He laughs with a slightly awkward tone to it. ] I was the one saying this, you know!

[ The Shield of Ulster thing, or even just making sure to defend his Master - which last time sadly did not work - not for her, not for anyone. Anyway, another reminder that being God Is Weird, get ]

But make no mistake, it's greatly appreciated. [ Thank you for your quality service ]

Hm? You were? [He tilts his head to the side.] You don't seem like the type for that. ...Not that you aren't strong, of course!

[But doesn't a caster need defending. From anyone trying to stop them?

I was a knight, you know? Protecting the king and his land was one of our duties. [ Also drinking a lot, and being insufferable bums too. The Red Branch Knights were nothing like the knights of Arthurian legends, those tin-cans closer to Diarmuid times. Being all solemn while clanking about duty and chivalry wasn't the thing yet back then. ]

My grandfather led a warband in his youth, before he settled into his role of the chief druid. It was nothing strange.

Ah! A caster as a knight! That's quite impressive, you must be very strong. [He assumes you're mainly magic based with limited, but strong, spear based abilities. Please correct him.]

You've had an intriguing life, Caster. I want to hear more about it.

[ And a very twisted unlife that makes him into this weird aberration that he is now, putting the focus on his magic skills and locking everything else - everything important!! ]

Knight first, the magic is just a bonus- my teacher was a powerful warrior but also incredibly skilled with magic - she taught me both skills.

[ And ah, sure, he can tell stories, that much he owes to his shinki-- hah, telling stories: that's what druids do. ]

She was a real pain in the ass. Carrying herself like a queen, but her heart was of a hermit. [ Despite the words not being nice, he speaks of her with clear fondness and nostalgia reserved only for best memories. ]

[Hey, he's trying to help with the spears! He really is!]

You're really impressive with both. I hope to see some more of your magic soon. [He wants to know everything he has learned.]

She sounds like she's a great teacher for you. [He means that nicely, but Caster can take it as Lancer teasing him, of course.]
