From: sora
hi it’s sora, working name baldr!
question. are ayakashi supposed to be able to get close to our temples? mega close nearly inside almost smashing stuff up, close?
i don’t think that’s normal-- but if it is i need to find away to protect my temple so it doesn’t happen again! it’s a real royal pain in my butt and not safe for my shinki either if i’m not there and it happens again! does anyone have any good ideas?
does my temple being on the shore have anything to do with it? bleh.

Is it this Baldr/Sora person?
1/2
He has a future he has to get back to, and I don't. I will make sure that he does, because there's something he has to do.
2/2 private
[Or rather, he tested an approximation, but Data-Sora was virtually the original in ways Roxas and Riku were not]

Is this another part of your programming? Annoying. You're obviously not going to listen to reason, so fine, do whatever you want. I'll just have to start looking for a fallback god if you're going to be set on this. [Self-sacrificial types are so inconvenient, good thing he's not like that.]
no subject
Like I told you, I'm not going to die. It doesn't seem any more permanent in this world than the last one I was a part of, but it's like I said. I consider you and Ludger my responsibility.
If I don't look out for your safety too, I'm failing.
no subject
[And, just because he hasn't quite met his asshole quota for the day:] So, if you were forced to choose between saving Sora's life or one of your shinki's lives, and the circumstances prevented you from saving both, which would be the higher priority for you?
no subject
I'd make sure someone was there to help Sora, so there wouldn't be a choice to make. My purpose in this world is clearly defined.
[As they have ever been. He was prepared to watch his own world crumble around him rather than step outside of his role, because his purpose had always been first.
Remains first, even now.
And that's all to say he'd have to choose his shinki. They're a part of his purpose in this world; his purpose in his own had come to an end]

Besides, that answer doesn't fit the scenario posed. This would be a situation where no one else is available or otherwise able to assist, so the decision of who lives or dies is entirely in your hands. Are you saying you'd choose to let Sora die because your primary purpose now is to protect your shinki?
Or what about a scenario where you can only choose to save either Ludger or myself? Are there any other criteria you'd use to decide which has more importance in a situation like that?
no subject
You never specified that I'd be incapable of bringing anyone else with me. But if you want to know, my purpose is absolute. My world nearly fell apart around me once, but my purpose had nothing to do with it. I did not intervene.
You're both my responsibility, so I'd have to find a way.
no subject
And I did—the scenario I gave says that you're incapable of saving both, so even if you did bring someone it would be impossible. You have to choose.
You're an AI, aren't you? If you're capable of maintaining multiple priorities of exact equal importance, that's just poor programming. Something must be of a slightly higher priority. Are you trying not to hurt my feelings? It's alright if you'd prefer to save Sora. I'd rather know these things in advance so I can be prepared for it, keeping it to yourself doesn't help anyone.
no subject
Based on what you said, it's only specified that I personally could not save both. That doesn't rule out other parties.
You already have my answer, Add. I'm responsible for you and Ludger, that's part and parcel of my purpose. Sora's capabilities are comparable to my own, and he's overcome anything he's been faced with before, without me.
That just doesn't mean I wouldn't try to help where I can.
no subject
In that situation, you would still save your own shinki over someone of great personal importance to yourself. Is that correct?
no subject
You're suggesting none of my shinki are of great personal importance to myself.
[Which...is as close as he can probably get to hedging into this topic. Sorry Add he can't tell you that it be you.
RIP]
no subject
In that case, I'll interpret your answer as picking your shinki first and foremost. It's an answer I would've expected from you anyway, considering you're supposed to be an AI. Your role here is to protect your shinki along with answering this world's prayers. Personal attachments, whether you're capable of them or not, should come after responsibilities.
So keep that in mind before you go throwing yourself into danger.

Isn't it a shinki's job to advise their god? So shut up and listen to what I'm telling you. [that would only be if Add was his exemplar (HAHAHA), but close enough, right...]
no subject
[Does that really sound like the job for you, Add?]

I may not be human, but there are things I understand.
no subject
And what the hell is that even supposed to mean? [???? understand WHAT]
no subject
[Which is his very cryptic way of giving Add a hint.
Too cryptic, surely, but...he still says it]

Success?]
