I'd like to take this time to invite any interested parties to my Temple in two day's time for a group training session.  Our primary objectives will be to work on stealth, speed, and camouflage, along with surveying one's surroundings in potentially high-tension situations.

The session is open to all shinki and gods, regardless of age or experience.  I'll do my best to provide some refreshments on the side.  If you have any further questions, you're welcome to get in touch with either myself or my shinki, Trunks--really, it was more his idea than mine.

Hopefully, this can be a fun learning experience for many.

Are there rewards for winners?

[Something like that. Although she couldn't deny credit went to Trunks for the inspiration.]

Is the satisfaction of knowing you've worked hard to improve your skills not enough?

It's as it should be! But reward is always a good additional motivator. Even if it's as simple as a badge of "Best Score", "Most creative camouflage" and so on.

I'll be sure to keep that in mind, if anyone else is interested.

But really, I'm not sure how I would be able to judge something like that fairly. Everybody brings something different, skill-wise. And giving them out arbitrarily would seem patronizing.

Mhm, true, if you put it that way... you'd have to make them personalized after the session ended. So everyone would be evaluated fairly.

What would you suggest for a reward?

Since your point is to not make it competitive, the best reward that could be fair to everyone would be a feast.

That's kind of extreme, of course, and I'm not suggesting that. You've mentioned refreshments during the event, but how about ending it with a bang? When everything is done and over to feed them something nice. Like those 'ice-creams' that seems to be popular now.

[Mai was...genuinely surprised. Not because she questioned his capability in such matters. It was more she had half-expected him to make another joking suggestion.]

That’s...not a bad idea.

I think we could manage. There are a few ice cream trunks I’ve seen around that I could look into having come by. It would be easier than finding a large freezer to store everything until the end of the day

I’m fairly certain that’s not how it works.

But if you really want ice cream that much, I can’t stop you from coming over to have some.
