Quick question. What does everyone consider picnic foods?

It doesn't have to be fancy, or even cooked, just something you yourself would bring to an occasion like that.

Also, no alcohol. This isn't for a romantic occasion. Though food cooked with alcohol is a-okay.

Mmm... ( His favorite. He doesn't say anything but he's definitely field that piece of information in his memory for now. If it's something Nari likes then it's something important to remember. He's already thinking of a place he's seen that sells cute waffles. ) I want to try them.

You've never had waffles before? I can make them plain or with buttermilk. Buttermilk ones tend to be fluffier, but the plain ones are sturdier if you're gonna put a lot of toppings on it. Like whipped cream, fruits, that sorta thing.

Well, anyone can learn to cook. It just depends on what you want to cook. I'm not too good with Japanese foods, but I could help you with others.

The areas of the world I have lived in were rarely hit by things like this while I lived there. The worst I know are the wind and ice storms of Washington state that could knock power out for days and weeks depending on the area you lived in. Flooding was rare unless you lived on a flood plain. So to me this is a novelty.

I'm the god of storms himself. Something like that wouldn't sweep me away.

Terra taught me a little bit... salads and things... but he went away before he could teach me more. And I learned a little bit by myself but i can't make anything nice.

I actually didn't know about picnics until I came here! I've only been to one so far so I might not know what most people eat.

Sandwiches are pretty good! You can prepare more than one type so it's fun. Oh, also rice balls! Those are more fulfilling if you're really hungry. Fruit is nice. And snacks like candy bars and those bags of potatoes. I brought supermarket cake and everyone liked it, too.

Homemade is always better. I can make them for dinner. Breakfast foods are good any time of day.

Salads can be simple or incredibly difficult. It depends on the ingredients. And food doesn't have to be nice to be edible. As long as it has good flavor and isn't burnt, it could look like you ran it through the food processor a million times.

Sandwiches are a given since that's what most American picnics have. Egg salad, ham and cheese, chicken salad, those sorts of things.

I don't know how to make rice balls, but the people in this country sure seem to love those things. I don't. They have a gross sour thing in them.

Why wouldn't we? He's a ray of fucking sunshine without being overly annoying, so I don't mind him. Plus, he doesn't mind helping around the temple.

My home is different enough from this that I'm not certain how the eras compare, although we may perhaps be a bit backwards by this world's standards.

and cold cuts are good for sandwiches, and stuff like celery and carrot sticks with dips
refreshing drinks, too, it's still pretty hot. don't wanna get dehydrated! (￣^￣)ゞ
