[BBS Video]
From: Yata
Date: August 14th
[ So after waking up from a vivid dream that he's becoming more and more convinced isn't a dream at all, Yata sits in the barn at Roy's temple late this morning having a minor panic attack. Unsure what he's supposed to do about this and when the first person he would normally go ask is the one person he can't go ask, he does the obvious thing. At least for him.
He flips open a video feed to the BBS. ]
So, uh, I know this has been talked about on here before but it hasn't really been relevant to me before now... [ Which, in Yata-speak, means he didn't pay attention. ] ...but.
What do you do if you wake up and suddenly remember something - or someone - from before. And you're pretty sure they don't? I mean. That's bad, right?
(( OOC Note: Both Fushimi and Yata have woken up with the same memory, Fushimi is just the sort to freak out about it privately while Yata is not, hence this post. Both characters may be tagging back replies in this thread however, and both are open to contact or action logs as well, just specify what/who you want in your starter ))

I got a memory back.
[ Why beat around the bush? ]
no subject
And?

He reaches up, tugging the collar of his shirt aside to reveal the brand, vibrant on his skin. ]
You don't have one of these, do you? Mikoto-san?
1/2
........

He sets his drink down on the counter. Abandoning it.]
No.

[ But he hadn't understood why, when it seemed like their powers were so much alike, and everyone else who had one seemed to be able to do the same things.
But then he'd had a conversation with Saru in a memory about how the Blue King had been Saru's true King all along, and that Saru would go to the same lengths for him as Yata would for 'Mikoto-san and Anna'. He didn't know who Anna was, had no memory of her outside this one mention, but Mikoto? That meant something here. And if that had been the comparison, he'd made at that time... ]
You're a King. A Red King? I don't know what that means, but I know I'm a Red Clansmen, and I know Saru's a Blue. I know he used to be Red and we used to be friends but then something happened and I thought he was a traitor. That's why he's got a tattoo like mine and it's all burned.
[ He might not be the smartest of HOMRA's members, but he was quick to put together facts when he started noticing them, able to observe and understand, cutting through to the quick of the problem at hand. ]
no subject
You finally made up with him.
[ At least something good happened after he was gone. ]
no subject
[ He couldn't actually remember any of the fighting with him, just their conversation after. ]
He went on a mission for his King. I don't think either one of them expected him to come back from it. I'm not sure I did either. We were fighting something - someone? - called JUNGLE. I went in to get him out and that's what made me realize he wasn't a traitor at all. At least, that's what we talked about in the memory. Before there was more fighting, anyway. That's where some of the rest of it came out. ...Some of it I was already suspecting but there were parts that didn't make sense, didn't fit.
no subject
So, that's why you're here.
[ He shoulders relax at the conclusion, as he slips a cigarette into his mouth. ]
To fill in the blanks.
[ Make sense of it. ]
no subject
I know you can't do that. I know there's shit you can't answer. I get that more than ever now.
[ His panic over how to act around Saru had been real, after all. ]
That's not why I'm here, although if you are feeling really talkative about things one of these days, I'm not gonna complain. [ He's also not gonna hold his breath, either. ]
What I don't understand is... [ He stops, unsure how to explain it, looking uncomfortable for a moment. He shifts on the barstool before just blurting it out. ] Are you pissed at me? Did I do something wrong? Is that why you don't...? Wait, that just sounds dumb. Nevermind, forget I said anything. You probably can't answer that anyway.
no subject
......
[ Mikoto shifts his eyes to him, catching the look that came with those words. Seeing that, he can't take the easy out given to him by his vanguard. ]
Don't what.
no subject
... Want anything to do with me.
[ Which just sounds pathetic, now that he's voiced it out loud. He shoves off the stool, antsy, his hands shoved in his pockets, and half-turns away from the god. ]
See? Told you it sounds dumb. That didn't sound so whiny inside my head. Shit. I know you've got your reasons. This isn't a Clan anymore, right? It's not the same thing.
no subject
There was no reason. You had a god.
[ He finally answers. ]
A good god. [ He adds, he had confirmed it himself. ]
no subject
[ Nami had been a good god. He still missed her. ]
But then I didn't. And I asked you for a name. And you turned me down.
[ The rejection had stung, even if he hadn't been certain at the time of what he should do or if they could even work together. But Mikoto had seemed to know the most about what he could do. It had seemed to make sense. ]
no subject
You wanted a god.
[ It didn't have to be him. Any would do. ]
You got one. Another good one.
[ Where he. He wasn't a good one. ]
no subject
...And then Tsuna had happened. Which might have been okay. But Hibari was there, and things had gone downhill fast, to the point that Yata had started avoiding his new god's temple even before both of them had vanished. Again, something only Saru knew about, after he'd found him holed up in an abandoned temple one night.
His fingers curl into fists and he glances away, reluctant to say any of that, though. So instead he settles on a quiet... ]
Yeah. I guess I did.
no subject
I can't give you that here.
[ Another drag. ]
You stayed here before. [ In his temple. HOMRA by all intents and purposes, yet... ] It's not a home. Not here, anyways.
[ It wasn't the the lively place he had built with Totsuka and Izumo back home. Here... it was just, a sad replica. ]
no subject
[ He shoots that back without really thinking about it, indignant. ]
That doesn't mean it couldn't be. But you're not going to make it a home if you just hide in here alone all the time!
no subject
Don't make me sound like some kind of recluse.
[ Because he spends half his days outside as well as inside, he just spends them alone in general. ]
no subject
[ He has a hard time believing any place he - or any of the other people he's met with tattoos - inhabited would be quiet for long. From what he'd observed, they seemed to be a rather rowdy bunch. ]
It's kinda sad, isn't it? [ He glances around the interior of the bar, wishing a little wistfully that he could remember this place. What he'd done here. ] It seems like it would be a fun place. I mean, the Mario Kart was fun and stuff, right?
no subject
.....
[ He slips the cigarette out of his mouth and crushes it on the ashtray, his eyes on the ash before he burns it into nothing. ]
I don't have them here.
no subject
'Them'?
no subject
no subject
That's the name of the bar. [ At least he'd noticed the sign. ] It's more than that, isn't it? Is that what the tattoo means? [ He winces at the sudden surge of fear and nausea that question sends through him, quickly holding up a hand. ] Wait. Nevermind, don't answer that.
So they're not here. But.... but some of us are, right? [ He knows there's more than just a few with the same tattoo as him, anyway. ]

What does this place mean to you?
