[ So after waking up from a vivid dream that he's becoming more and more convinced isn't a dream at all, Yata sits in the barn at Roy's temple late this morning having a minor panic attack. Unsure what he's supposed to do about this and when the first person he would normally go ask is the one person he can't go ask, he does the obvious thing. At least for him.

He flips open a video feed to the BBS. ]

So, uh, I know this has been talked about on here before but it hasn't really been relevant to me before now... [ Which, in Yata-speak, means he didn't pay attention. ] ...but.

What do you do if you wake up and suddenly remember something - or someone - from before. And you're pretty sure they don't? I mean. That's bad, right?


(( OOC Note: Both Fushimi and Yata have woken up with the same memory, Fushimi is just the sort to freak out about it privately while Yata is not, hence this post. Both characters may be tagging back replies in this thread however, and both are open to contact or action logs as well, just specify what/who you want in your starter ))

[ There's a moment of hesitation as Yata glances over his shoulder at said horses but then he just nods. ]

Yeah, that's... probably a good idea. I'll be right there.

[ he flicks the feed off, hurrying for the temple. ]

[When he gets there, Fushimi is waiting by the door still in his PJs; he grabs Misaki's collar and just drags him off to his room, not even waiting for the idiot to say anything.]

[ He gets a yelp for his troubles as Yata stumbles his way into the room, caught off-guard by the abrupt yank from the other shinki. ]

Oi! Knock it off, I'm here, dammit!

Keep it down, I don't know if Roy's awake yet.

[At least Fushimi's room isn't too far away. It's a total mess, but whatever. Once there, he lets go of Misaki and shuts the door.]

Scepter 4. Mikoto-san. Anna. Any of that sound familiar?

[ Yata straightens, looking a little wary as he glances up at Saru, as if unsure about how much he should say. ]

So you remember the same thing as me. [ That's a guess, but those names... ] We had Kings?

[monkeyblue]

And clans.

[Fushimi scratches at his burn scars.]

I switched clans at some point, and it pissed you off.

Because you didn't tell me anything.

[ He'd picked up that much, at least. The talk of traitors, of who Saru's real King was. That Yata had apparently forgiven him anyway - eventually. ]

Don't call me an idiot for something I don't remember.

I don't remember what I didn't tell you or why I left...I guess it was Mikoto-san for Scepter 4. Just that I didn't think you'd understand me.

[ #Yata logic. ]

The Red Clan and the Blue Clan. Hey, I bet that's why you can do more weird magic than me!

[Fushimi taps his burns.]

Probably. You stayed Red. I went Blue. For whatever reason, Mikoto-san didn't take my red powers away when I left.

[ Yata's eyes go wide as he makes this connection, because it was there, layered in his understanding that came with the memory. Because of course it was. ]

He's the King. Or a King? [ But who was Anna, then? ] D'you think that's what the sword meant?

[ And if that's the case, does the Blue Sword mean the Blue King is here somewhere too? Especially since Saru had felt things both times the swords appeared in the sky, whereas Yata had really only felt a connection to the Red. ]

[Fushimi pauses and starts to think about that, but he quickly shudders and shakes his head.]

Don't talk about that. If we keep talking about what those Swords mean and who has them, we're in trouble.

[Or Fushimi was, at any rate. He knows who the blue sword belongs to, and when he tried to make the connection, that sick strange feeling he gets whenever he accidentally starts thinking about his past flooded his mind.]

Wait until we remember the name of the Blue King...though I know he was a "captain" of some sort.

[ Yata instantly looks apologetic when he sees that expression flicker over Saru's face. ]

Shit, sorry. I guess we're going to have to be careful. I don't know what's safe to say. Or not say. Or, hell, even think about. Argh! [ He gives a low cry of frustration, raking his hands back through his hair. ] That's so annoying!

Don't mention this to anyone we know is from our world, except maybe Mikoto-san. He was mentioned by name, and he's a god. I think it's safe to assume we remembered the same fight, so what happened there is fine, and things the other can't have possibly known is probably safe.

[While Misaki gets mad, Fushimi will make plans]

I guess if we remember more, we should check with each other first. Obviously we were important to each other if you saved me from a suicide mission, so we might have more shared memories to come.

How am I supposed to know what you can't have known?

[ Saru, he's pretty sure you know all the things you're not supposed to know. And when you don't know them, you find them out anyway. ]

Oh, and right. [ He balls his fingers into a fist and abruptly punches Saru in the shoulder. ] No more suicide missions, you asshole! Don't scare me like that again!

[monkeyblue]

[Fushimi scoffs and bonks Misaki's head in retaliation.]

I had to take it, dumbass. Whatever the plan was, I was the only one who could do it and make it work.

I don't care. [ He crosses his arms over his chest with an irritated huff. ] Find another way. Or ask for help! You coulda died!

....I mean, I died anyway at some point.

[Smack him. Please.]

[ Oh he does, right away. ]

Tch, I'm just saying. We're shinki.

[He'll let the smacking happen.]

...you know, it's weird. Obviously we were close before we got here, and now...

[ He blinks at the abrupt change of topic, not sure he's following. ]

Why is that weird?

We met at a festival and instantly became friends again despite remembering nothing. How is that not weird?

It wasn't instantly. I'm pretty sure you didn't want anything to do with me at first. Maybe I'm just really friendly?

[ He smirks at Saru. ]

I don't think it's that weird though. I mean, if we got along enough to be friends before, why would that be different here?

...Misaki, have you not noticed I hate people? We must have known each other for a while--I remember thinking it's been ages since you were smiling at me--and even if I liked people before, I hate people now.
