[ So after waking up from a vivid dream that he's becoming more and more convinced isn't a dream at all, Yata sits in the barn at Roy's temple late this morning having a minor panic attack. Unsure what he's supposed to do about this and when the first person he would normally go ask is the one person he can't go ask, he does the obvious thing. At least for him.

He flips open a video feed to the BBS. ]

So, uh, I know this has been talked about on here before but it hasn't really been relevant to me before now... [ Which, in Yata-speak, means he didn't pay attention. ] ...but.

What do you do if you wake up and suddenly remember something - or someone - from before. And you're pretty sure they don't? I mean. That's bad, right?

(( OOC Note: Both Fushimi and Yata have woken up with the same memory, Fushimi is just the sort to freak out about it privately while Yata is not, hence this post. Both characters may be tagging back replies in this thread however, and both are open to contact or action logs as well, just specify what/who you want in your starter ))

I had to take it, dumbass. Whatever the plan was, I was the only one who could do it and make it work.

...you know, it's weird. Obviously we were close before we got here, and now...

[ He blinks at the abrupt change of topic, not sure he's following. ]

Why is that weird?

We met at a festival and instantly became friends again despite remembering nothing. How is that not weird?

It wasn't instantly. I'm pretty sure you didn't want anything to do with me at first. Maybe I'm just really friendly?

[ He smirks at Saru. ]

I don't think it's that weird though. I mean, if we got along enough to be friends before, why would that be different here?

...Misaki, have you not noticed I hate people? We must have known each other for a while--I remember thinking it's been ages since you were smiling at me--and even if I liked people before, I hate people now.

Yeah, but I'm apparently not people. Admit it, I'm awesome, you can't resist me.

[Fushimi just stares at Misaki for a moment.

And then he grabs a pillow to throw at him.]

Cocky.

[ Yata just starts laughing, feeling a rush of giddy relief, his panic from earlier subsiding a little. Saru remembers. Maybe not exactly the same things, but most of it seems to be there. he doesn't have to worry about trying to keep this part of it a secret.

Elated, he catches the pillow and flings it right back, snickering. ]

Yeah, and? You can't even deny it.

[More pillow throwing fine!]

I don't know, maybe I just like having an idiot around to make me feel even smarter.

[ Aaaaand it's an all-out pillow war now. ]

[Just don't get near his computer as he beats you senseless with this pillow!]

[ Besides, he takes his skateboard everywhere.

Doesn't beating him senseless require him to have sense in the first place, Saru? ]

I've seen you run. That would have worked just as well.

Yeah well. [ He pauses, a perplexed look on his face for a moment as he thinks back to how the memory had started. ] You didn't see what I was running through. Whoever this Nagare and these Jungle people that kid was spouting off about, they weren't messing around.

[Fushimi's face falls a little, disgusted and unsettled.]

Whoever they are, I hope they're dead. Something about them makes my skin crawl just thinking about it.

Yeah, no shit. [ He felt the same. ] Although I guess this makes that weird dream I had back after I got here make way more sense...

[Weird dream?]

[ Yata shrugs. ]

Something weird happened a little after I first got here, there was a sleepover, but I think one of the gods that was there had something to do with dreams? Anyway, things got all weird when we all fell asleep and a bunch of us ended up sharing dreams, or finding each other in someone else's.

But the one some of them found me in... I was in a jungle and it kept trying to close in on me. Like it was going to strangle out everything that was caught in it. We had to fight our way out of it, when people found me there, but it kept growing back. It was really freaking weird. And creepy.

Tch, wonder if that's what that JUNGLE clan was interested in. Or maybe your subconscious is just weird.

I dunno. Maybe. Both could work, too, I guess. [ He shrugs. ] At the time I thought it was just a weird dream, but now it feels too similar to believe it was just a coincidence.

Then it probably isn't.

[Fushimi yawns.]

I'm hungry.
