[Chikusa actually meant to make this post a while ago, but.... Well. Things happened. Whatever. He's making it now.]

This is for the benefit of what new people who have arrived and all those who ignored Kairi and Yukine's warning here, but I'll repeat it all. It's apparently necessary.

There are three ways to get blight:
1. Touch a person that is blighted.
2. Touch an ayakashi.
3. Feeling guilt.

The first two can be washed away with holy water from a shrine or temple. The last can only be cleaned up reliably if you apologize for your guilt and repent to your god. If you don't and only continue to feel guilt, it will build up.

Shinki carrying too much blight become ayakashi. This should be enough of a deterrent but it's repeatedly been shown not to be.

In the event that a shinki doesn't repent and a god doesn't want to release them, an ablution can help. However, not only is it extremely painful for both shinki and god alike, it requires three separate shinki with extremely powerful borderlines and knowledge of the ablution incantation.

I have taken part in three ablutions in the last two months. I have no faith that people will do the sensible thing. So I'm offering myself for any future ablutions since an ayakashi on the loose in the Far Shore would be annoying. I guarantee that my borderline is reliable and that it won't matter how the targeted shinki reacts.

Just repay me for having to deal with such a troublesome and annoying thing.

If you can harass more people into helping out, it'd get done quicker.

Harassing people when I hate being harassed myself isn't going to work very well.

Then ask people politely into helping out so it gets done quicker.

That's even less likely. Not to mention anyone who knows me already would just get suspicious if I was being polite.

So basically you're useless when it comes to people.

If it involves being contrite or annoying, yes. If people doing something pisses me off, I'm not going to turn around and do it to them.

It's unnecessary and annoying, usually.

So what do you do when someone wants to apologize to you?

Tell them it's unnecessary, obviously. I hardly ever get people apologising for things that are actually worth apologising for.

[Chikusa isn't either, but it's definitely a lot different than what he's been lead to believe that normal people react.]

What's worth apologizing for?

Things that matter. Hurting someone you didn't mean to, or failing to do something a hell of a lot more important than what most people start apologising for here. Not just saying the wrong thing.

Anyway I guess we'll figure it out.

At least this gives some idea of who to contact if this becomes a problem for people who actually missed the last post instead of just reading it and ignoring it.
