Heaven's BBS - Video (+Action for Mielikki's Lodge)

[The morning of July 31st, all residents of Mielikki's lodge will receive a rather rude awakening in the form of one Barry Goodman jolting up in bed and screaming. And as a fun bonus for everyone else, in his panic he knocks his phone off the side table next to the bed, so everyone else in the Far Shore gets to witness this fit too. Thankfully, he sleeps in shorts and a t-shirt, so at least he's clothed. What he is not, however, is quiet.]

UWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH!

[Throwing the covers off, Barry jumps out of bed and immediately falls to his knees right in front of the phone. Viewers are treated to a low perspective shot of him balling his fists, raising them into the air, and screaming into the heavens as tears begin to stream down his face.]

MAMORI! I'M SORRY! I FAILED YOU!

[This will especially troublesome for Hiyoko and Hibiki, at least until he calms down. There's enough guilt here about something to cause problems, but he's also constantly apologizing about it, so it won't actually progress very far. But the way he's pinballing between guilt, sorrow, and a deep desire for repentance is sure to cause some discomfort.]

[Barry's usually so cheerful that it borders on enough to make Yuuri feel vaguely uncomfortable, so this is... unexpected from him.]

[Barry's right in the middle of another 'MAMORIIII' when he hears the voice coming from the floor. Looking around quickly, he scoops up the phone. His face is an embarrassing, tear-streaked, snotty mess.]

[Listen, Yuuri's no stranger to ugly-crying every now and then. He's not sure who 'Mamori' is, but having lost his god just a few days ago...]

[ It's early and everyone is still asleep in Nanako's house, so she'd been curled up in bed with her phone for a little bit when this video appears. She watches with wide eyes, worried and alarmed, before quickly reaching out to her friend. ]

Barry? Barry, what's wrong? What happened? Did you have a bad dream?

[Barry's clutching his phone as if it were a comforting blanket or a teddy bear, and he seems both relieved and vaguely ashamed to see Nanako's face appear on his screen.]

Nanako-chan! I... I did a bad thing!

[ Her expression is upset, but more for her friend's sake than what he said. he looks like he needs a hug. ]

WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS?!?!?!??!?!?!

[ Don't question how Hibiki knows where this temple is. Don't question why the door just banged open. Don't question, no matter how deep into the temple you are, the fact that Hibiki is seated atop a large purple horse. She made it fit, okay. A genius's sense of scale and an average person's sense of scale are different.

She settles the horse down after she, herself, has gotten that bellow out of her system. Mostly. ]

WE HAD AN AGREEMENT! HOW DARE YOU IMPOSE YOUR SNIVELLING MISERY UPON ME!

[ DRAMATIC POINTING. ]

YOU ARE NO LONGER MY DOG.

[ Nothing happens, though. She didn't use the right words. Maybe she hasn't realized it... ]

[Barry's usually able to let this sort of thing roll right off his back, but he's just too upset right now. So when Hibiki comes barging into his room, he stands his ground, jumping up and swinging his arm out in front of him. Not aiming to hit her or anything, but more as a 'get away from me' type gesture.]

Shut up! You wouldn't understand!

YOU RAISE YOUR VOICE TO ME AFTER RUINING MY MORNING?!

[ Hibiki turns the horse around so she can scowl at him sideways from astride it. Maxie sniffs, tail whisking. (Fortunately, they don't knock over any of his merch, if it's around.) She had been having a good morning. Do you know how odd that is?! A good morning! Here! She had received (possible) proof that the wheels of her revolution were already changing the tides, and then she had to go and feel sad in the middle of it, and she is so

of feeling sad!!!

And yet there will be no berating him if all he does is yell right back. Hibiki heaves a sigh that puts her horse's to shame and glares down from on high. ]

[HE WAS JUST CHECKING THE BBS AND THEN THERE WAS SCREAMING-- Tsuzuki is yelping himself, startled, before he gets himself back under control and clears his throat nervously.]

-- Barry? Are you all right? Who's Mamori? What happened?

[More scream-wailing.]

[The best thing about not doing this in person is that he can hold the phone away so it's not as loud when Barry's making that awful noise. It's making the pit of his stomach clench with worry, though, and he blinks a few times before responding.]

Lavi is initially torn whether or not to address the person in question, but eventually he does make up his mind.]

[ Uh... Was this guy alright...? Sorey's not really sure what to make of all this, but he doesn't think he can ignore it, that's for sure. If someone's upset, it's for a good reason, right? ]

[Witness the desperate arm-flailing of this 35 year old manchild as he continues to whine.]

[Barry dashes over and buries his face in her shoulder, still crying and wailing just as loudly.]
