Um.
[Yuuri looks like he might very well be thinking better of posting on the network at all, and actually moves like he's making for the "off" button for half an instant, but then he pauses halfway there. He's visibly steeling himself for a moment, as he takes a deep breath, exhales it back out, and gets a look of intense determination on his face before he plunges forward.]
Some of the rest of you have found things lying around when you woke up before, right?
It's just that...
[He falters again, but shakes his head, pressing on.]
...I found this yesterday. Hanging from the doorframe by my room.
[He holds up his hand to show a ring cupped in his palm. It's simple, but certainly looks like real gold.]
One of the cats was batting at it, and I was worried she might try to eat it or something, so at first I was just thinking about getting it away from her, but... um. I don't know how it got there, and it fits me exactly, and it...
I mean, it looks an awful lot like a wedding ring, doesn't it?
[He glances at it as if to double-check that it does. At some point, he's gone from "faintly pink around the cheeks" to "just absolutely beet red." When he looks back up, he seems pretty unsure how to continue. He might be having a slight panic attack, but what else is new, honestly?]
...I don't... I don't really know what I'm supposed to do about this.

voice, from: Asato Tsuzuki
Only...
[That's his real name up top, isn't it? He's another shinki.]
Only you shouldn't, I guess.
Voice
[He makes an aborted little attempt at a lighthearted laugh.]
If there's a matching one at all, anyway. There might not be, right?
Voice
[He pauses, then adds, a bit sheepishly:]
-- I'm Tsuzuki Asato, by the way! I don't think we introduced ourselves at the party?
[Probably. His memory of the night is on the cloudy side, because those drinks had turned out to be a lot stronger than the plain old sake and plum wine he'd mistaken them for. He thinks he knows this guy's face, though, as the guy who'd put up with his waltz attempts after he'd already been four or five drinks deep.]

[Oh, the night with the fireflies. He... sorta remembers dancing with somebody, before his already hazy memory of the rest of the evening was overshadowed by the big, terrifying ordeal with all those ayakashi and his first successful Borderline in combat and all...]
Ah, right...
I'm Yuuri. Katsuki Yuuri.
[At least he didn't get the guy's name and then forget it. That would have been more embarrassing.]
no subject
[And since it's not safe to overthink it anyway....]
no subject
[As for the ring, though...]
[It wasn't dropped by accident, it was left in an odd place. It was left for him. It doesn't make any sense to say that it doesn't have any kind of connection to him...]
You're probably right, I didn't think about it that way! I tend to overthink things too easily, maybe.
no subject
[It doesn't have to have been his before. Just because it showed up mysteriously while he was asleep....
Plus, Katsuki's nice. And cute, and a great dancer. He could have a dozen secret admirers.
(And Tsuzuki may be searching for explanations that don't involve a ring showing up that he'd had before his death, because it's scaring him a little to think of something like that even being possible.)]
no subject
[Yuuri laughs, a little awkwardly.]
I'm not really sure I'd have anything like that.
[He's pretty plain, really, and not a very exciting person or anything...]
no subject
[But he's not gonna fight; his laugh in return is cheerfully lighthearted.]
Anyway, did you check and see if there's a note? If it's from an admirer there ought to be!

[Besides, a lost ring wouldn't be hanging outside Yuuri's room like that.]
... Yeah, I guess you'll just have to wait and see if anything else happens!
[And not think about it in the meantime. In case it is something from his past, and he was married once. Poor guy.]
no subject
Maybe I'll wear it on a necklace or something. Putting it on still feels a little bit presumptuous, somehow.
no subject
[And if it's from his past: it's till "death does us part," and if death's parted you and you've forgotten about your wife, should you still wear your wedding ring?
That's a startlingly sad question, and Tsuzuki blinks, stricken. The poor guy, if he's been thinking things like that about himself. At least Tsuzuki doesn't have any rings, or any marks around his fingers like he's ever worn one.]
That sounds like a good idea!
no subject
It just seems a little sad not to wear it at all, if someone wanted me to have it.
[Even if he can't remember that person, whoever they are and whatever they were to him, he doesn't want to just throw out what they gave him. That's cold, even for him in his worst moods.]
no subject
[He sounds dubious. He's leaning towards the "mysterious object" answer himself -- he's heard about weird things happening with old belongings of gods, and why wouldn't it happen to shinki too? But it could just be a gift without a note.]
no subject
[He sighs, fidgeting with the ring a bit. It's probably for the best, right? He doesn't really feel like he could see himself getting that sort of close to most people, anyway.]

Okay, okay, you have a point! Maybe you should leave a note: "next time say it with flowers"...
... or candy? I don't know, what's a better present?
